Interesting....

There is good reason to believe that all those five-star ratings are not authentic. A good majority of those "five stars" are from users that only reviewed ONE place: Ed & Joe's. It looks like someone flooded the votebox. Way to go, you won by cheating.

As others have said, the service is questionable, and while I found my pizza good, it certainly wasn't among the BEST, and not something I'd be writing home about. If you're in the area, it serves its purpose, otherwise I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Scam!!! -----Apathetic Staff---

We saw the reviews (aka scam). We went into the packed pizza dive and placed an order for water, asked again and again. Four times. The Long Island is from a pre-made mix, then tried other drinks but should have known better. A ham deep dish was sent out. I am Jewish. I don't do ham. The server agrued with me. What? WHo does that!? SO waited 45 minutes for the wrong pizza and then waited 45 minutes for a cardboard tomatoe paste pizza. $87 dollars latter... no comps, no sorry's. They do not care...

• Pros:  great fraud plan
• Cons: servers, food, cheap made drinks

Bad pizza, even worse service

Like others, I saw the high star ratings and figured it would be worth a try. The waitress got our order wrong and then insisted that she was right. After confirming that she did get the order wrong, we waited an additional 45 minutes for the correct order. OK, not a big deal at this point, afterall mistakes happen. But once we did receive the right order (Chicago deep dish) we found that the crust was not even doughlike, more like cardboard, caked with flour and still practically raw. The sauce was nearly non-existent, which was probably a good thing actually as what was there had a tinny, canned taste.

I thought the term "bad pizza" was kind of like the term "bad $ex" in that it really just never happens. But after visiting Ed and Joe's, I can finally say, yes sometimes there really is bad pizza.
