This grand old Aurora theater puts on a strong slate of family plays and touring comedians.. The Venue
Opened in 1931, the Venetian-style Paramount--the first air-conditioned building outside of Chicago--operated for decades as a mixture of movie house and vaudeville theater. Extensively restored in the late 1970s, it now serves as home for the Fox Valley Symphony and hosts many family-friendly live shows and big-name touring comics. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
