Greasy but great. I would give Steak n Shake four stars because they have good steak burgers and shakes, along with friendly and good service, but the limited locations in the area is what makes them special and bumps them up to five stars.

I always go through the drive thru and have never had any problems. Beware to the newbies, this food is really greasy and the shakes have been known to almost cause me to blow my o-ring.

Entering the clean, bright interior is like stepping into an "Archie" comic book. Hurrying across white- and black-checkered floors, staff in crisp white shirts and paper hats take orders, polish chrome and shuffle between booths and the full-service counter. Middle-American diner standards dominate the menu--pickle-covered steak burgers, chili cheeseburgers and thick shakes. Healthier options include chicken, chef and taco salads.
