Jimmy

So, I had been seeing Jimmy at Salon Diva(Evolour) for years. He's a wonderful stylist and the location was great (close to me in the Roscoe Village area). Evolour was recently taken over by new owners and Jimmy made a move to a salon at Broadway and Diversey. This wasn't so great for me and my commute, but I was willing to make the move for Jimmy. Well, my luck changed when I found out that Jimmy will be here(Southport Hair) 2 days a week. He is here on Tuesday's and Thursday's-give him a try, you won't be disappointed!!!

Great haircut!!

I LOVE my haircut, and I'm very, very picky. Vera really listened to what I wanted, and worked with my hair type. I'm so happy that I found Southport Hair Studio on Citysearch--the reviews were right!

Best Haircut for Guys

After spending my college days going to the HairCuttery, I decided that spending about 10 bucks more would be worth it if I got a good cut every time. I tried some of the other salons in the area, but I ended up paying upwards of 40 bucks for crappy service and a crappy head of hair.

I decided to go here on a whim after reading the positive reviews. The staff are extremely friendly and caring, and I have never been asked so many questions about what I wanted in a haircut. It's rare to see a salon care about details of your haircut, especially for guys, and it makes all the difference.

Best cut and color ever!

I was fed up with salons in Chicago. Over the last 9 years, I have been to about 15 or 20 salons, never returning. A lot of times, I just went for months without getting my hair done because I didn't want to deal with being disappointment by another salon. I was paying a lot of money for horrible service and not getting what I asked for. I was also tired of being told how my hair was going to be done instead of asked how I would like it done. That all changed when I read the reviews about Southport Hair Studio and went for my first appointment.

Vera is amazing! She asked what I wanted done and worked with me to get what I wanted. I have been going there for almost a year now and I always leave feeling great.

The salon has a feeling of a small town shop, with friendly service and lively conversation, but I leave there with a much better cut and color than I would ever receive at any overpriced salon. The services are very reasonably priced and I don't feel like I was just robbed when I walk out of there.

Make an appointment, you won't be sorry!
