I had dinner here Thursday night with friends, to celebrate a new job for a friend in our group. We made reservations before we arrived so we seated immediately. Parking was a bit hard to find so I had to park kind of far away in the parking structure. I think there were a lot of people out celebrating St. Patrick's day.
The place was really loud and I found myself having to yell at the people next to me and across the table for conversations. The place is dimly lit and a little upscale looking, though I found people dressed from casual to a little more dressy.
Our waiter kept on top of us but was a little hard to understand at first as he had an accent. Still, he made recommendations for both food and drink and did a good job.
The food was pretty good. I had a porterhouse steak and baked potato. I'm not sure the quality of food matches the price, but it's pretty close. For desert, I had some cookie thing with ice cream on top. That was yummy. I could see myself coming back, but maybe a few times a year.
Decent Steakhouse. This is a pretty decent steakhouse. I've been here once where the food wasn't up to par but every other time it's been good. I would recommend trying the horseradish crusted fillet or the lamb porterhouse chops. They also offer some great nightly specials that are worth checking out.
Overrated.
Wildfire was so crowded for a weekday lunch, but I suppose many come here for a convenient business lunch. I just do not understand the hype that this place gets. It's really no better in terms of food or service than TGI Friday's or Ruby Tuesday.
The grilled vegetable entree salad, chicken scaloppine, and pasta were all rather ordinary and not particularly well prepared. None were good enough to finish. The onion bread to start us off was better than anything we actually ordered. Service was mediocre, but the restaurant was so busy it's a good thing we made a reservation or we would not have had a seat. We did not have dessert because none of them looked particularly appetizing.
I won't be back. There are just too many other great restaurants in the area.
They earned 5 stars tonight.
I was traveling on business so I ate at the bar. he service was a bit rushed but I didn't get annoyed b/c they were slam packed.
I started with a great tomato, onion and goat cheese salad which was superb, then I had a Bleu Cheese crusted Filet with a stuffed potato. The steak was cooked precisely as I ordered and very tender. One of the best I have ever had!!! The stuffed potato was delicious as well but extremely rich so beware.
I'm walking off one great meal and dropped into the Apple store to make a review so I'm out...
Check this place out for sure!
Unimpressive. Don't believe the hype about this restaurant... my experience here started with them not honoring my 6:30 reservation. My boyfriend and I were seated about 50 minutes after our reservation time, around 7:20. No big deal we thought... I bet the food will make it worth it. Then we were pointed to our table.... in the center of a sea of people. We had to slide one by one sideways to get the table. Then we had to ask people to move their chairs just so we could actually sit down. The adjacent tables were about 6 inches from ours, and our table was so big we had to shout to each other. Our Four Cheese Mushroom appetizer was so-so, followed by luke warm bisque soup. It took 20 minutes to get a refill on our sodas, and the steaks we ordered were ok, nothing that Applebee's or Fridays couldn't have produced for a fraction of the price. Our waitress did not once ask us if our meal was good and if we were satisfied. After paying the over priced bill, we hurried out of there. I was incredibly disappointed with this restaurant. I chose it as a special treat for a birthday, and left wishing I had chose anywhere but there.
Always a treat. We make up special occassions just to order our favorite meal. The prime rib medium rare with a crust or without is always perfection. The friendly staff is attentive and quick to respond if we do have a problem. (One night the chicken stayed twisting in the ovens for too long, but it was replaced without issue.) Amazing martinis are a bonus!
Nothing special. Wildfire appears to be a good restaurant. The atmosphere is good and the menu looks delicious. However, when bread was brought to our table we had no bread plates and no napkins. Once our appetizer arrived, we had to request silverware. One of three steaks was brought out incorrectly (bernaise crust instead of blue cheese and more like medium-well than rare like was ordered) and one steak that was ordered medium was bloody and so tough it was nearly impossible to cut. The waitress was nice enough, but it took forever to find her to report the incorrect steak. By the time that diner received the correct steak, the rest of the table was finished.
Good, Good, Good!. My wife and I were quoted one hour and 15 minutes on the wait (not bad for a Friday night). We were seated within 20 minutes! She ordered a salad with salmon, I had the filet trio. Salad was fresh, plentiful and high quality. Salmon was fantastic! The mini-filets each has their own topping, one had parmesan, one with mushroom and one with horseradish. All were excellent. Kind of pricey, hosts and waitstaff were average. Nice decor, food exceptional.
Not worth your time. I made reservations for 7:15 p.m. and told them it was my husband's birthday. We arrived at 7:00 p.m. and were not seated until 7:45 p.m. The place was overbooked and it was a Wednesday night. Sure the food is good but who has time to stand for 45 minutes waiting for a table? There were no open places to sit and wait or have a drink. The staff is brusque and overworked. It's great they have business but the customer suffers.
Janet's forgotten martini.
We sat in the bar waiting for everyone to show up. The waitress was great! We were seated at exactly the time of our reservation. (It was 6pm Tuesday)The atmosphere of the restuarant was like a supper club. One problem, was a person in our party did not recv her martini until 20mins after the rest of us did-bummer. The food was excellent.
Triple crusted filet mignon, scallops, mashed red potatoes all excellent. Filet was cooked perfectly as ordered.
