What People Are Saying About The Clubhouse - Oakbrook

In Short – Kevin Costner and Robert Wagner teamed with golf greats Jack Nicklaus and Fred Couples to open this elegant-yet-family-friendly restaurant. Decor balances red velvet curtains, clubby leather chairs and rich wood with colorful murals. The inventive menu includes meal-sized salads and hearty sandwiches; other options include lamb chops, steak and gourmet pizzas. For brunch, ascend the spiral staircase to the all-you-can-eat buffet, which offers everything from carved turkey to French toast and smoked salmon.

Nice food if plain
by Amber Gibson at Citysearch
I went to the Clubhouse with two of my girlfriends, and we had a lovely lunch before shopping at Oakbrook. I ordered the Southwestern Chicken Wrap which was absolutely scrumptious. Spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. The bread before the meal was very good as well, warm and very tasty. A little different from typical pre-meal bread, with some sort of seasoning added, which was great. The fries that came with my wrap and my friends' burgers were not very good. They weren't any better than typical fast food quality fries. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse and we were very pleased that it was a rich dark chocolate mousse as opposed to milk chocolate. Service was great. We were early for our reservation, but accommodated graciously.
- Pros: Basic quality is met, Good service
- Cons: Rather boring food
Bigger than life!!

This is a great place to bring your friends any day of the week, especially if they buy. The First Friday of each month they have music in the form of a DJ and the bar is packed. Good for people watching. The food is very eclectic with something for anyone. They have a great dry age steak and you truly feel that you are being taken care of. It's worth the wait on the weekends and the Sunday brunch is one of the best around. Had to loosen my belt after breakfast and think hard about hitting the gym.
- Pros: Bigger than normal entrees and great service
- Cons: Parking close to the door is tough
PHENOMENAL!!!

(Cheesecake Factory Setting & Portions + Grand Lux Cafe Service & Seating + Magnums Quality (Chicago 5 star) + Red Velvet Atmosphere) x (HIGH Ambiance of Romance + Attention to Detail) = THE CLUBHOUSE INT'L -Ezra Masters
- Pros: two thumbs WAAAAY up!!
- Cons: There should be AT LEAST one in every major city!
Huge Setting

The setting was HUGE! However, it created a romantic environment as well. The tables are well spaced so you have a bit of privacy. Request a table upstairs where there is a room that is divided with a large velvet curtain. Great for couples.
Great dining experience

I eat out everyday. Many uninspired gustations. On the other hand, Clubhouse was awesome. The service was friendly and great. The NY Strip was spectacular. The dessert was yum yum. Atmosphere wasn't stuffy...it was just right. I say its tops at its catagory in elegant casual, you know the same catagory as ie Grand Lux Cafe, Cheesecake Factory. But food is much much better at a great value.
- Pros: Great Food, Excellent Service, Good Value
- Cons: Location - Far away
