Read very good reviews on another website. We were fist timers.
Local Italian Eatery. My wife and I tend to be 'foodies', and we were not impressed.
My problem is that this restaurant offers $9 appetizers and entrees in the high teens to low $20's. But so do some of the better restaurants downtown (if you look a little). Wish we went downtown.
Roasted eggplant appetizer - bland with and equally bland tomato sauce (and this is an Italian rest.?) Beef barley soup... (get ready)... was a chicken stock soup with small pieces of beef. Reminded us of Progresso. Fettucine Alfredo was 'gummy'. Smoked Salmon Farfalle was unsmoked salmon in a sauce laden with smoke flavor. Didn't have the stomach for the dessert special - pumpkin tiramisu.
If one is on a fixed budget, or has a young family it may be better than going to one of the chains. The people are friendly here.
It's just that so many other restaurants that do a better job for the same money.
