A touch Rowdy in a good way!

Ok whomever said you have to tip well is right! But I am a firm believer in tipping well. After all the person who you are tipping is doing one of the following: taking your order, cooking your food or transferring your food. When will tipping like garbage ever give you any insurance that your food is on the way. If you can't tip well, eat at home! The people who are behind the bar are people, just like you have a thirst for liquor or are hungry, they have the same desire for tips, to feed their family or selves., I have never been a waiter but i have been friends with many if you don't tip well you have dug your own grave. Try tipping well everywhere you go even if the waitress or waiter has a bad day still tip well and magically all of your dining experiences will magically get better. Not a Hard concept to figure out :)

The time i have spent here over the past months has had it's moments mostly able to get my drinks when i want them or within a couple of minutes. Compared to the down-town Naperville meat-market scene this is a beacon in the night. Also right down the road is the worst bar of all time the lodge, where tipping well means nothing. And one of the best bars for myself is also right down the road, the squirrel cage, tipping moderately means the world :)

• Pros: Great place to meet people without being a meat market
• Cons: Parking situation, suggestion park in back :)

avoid this place!!!

bad service, poor entertainment, low quality food, alot of fruit flies ! they "marry" their alcohol bottles, which means they keep the old bottles and top them off every night to look like they are new! their bartenders only wait on their " favorites", you'll be stuck waiting! better tip huge or you will be ignored! i agree, the girls they got behind the bar do NOT know what they are doing & the waitresses constantly forget about you & what you ordered! the people who work there party too much & it's a very rowdy crowd! alot of fights & youngins'. parking lot is accident prone, watch your car!!!

• Pros: can't really think of anything to put here for pros!
• Cons: everything!!! this place is NOT good!

poor quality!

i have witnessed many fights at maple, one of the reasons i stopped going there! i have seen drunk bouncers & waitresses & bar tenders! i also see the manager, "carter" drink alot as well & from what i understand he suffered a heart attack at maple! i think the bartenders allow people to drink way too much & then watch them get into their cars & potentially hurt someone! it's all about the $$$! to me, this "dive-bar" which i feel is the appropiate term to use, is filled with young drunks & druggies who party in the bathroom stalls & then the fights & bad music speaks for itself! i did, however, have the pizza, it wasn't bad, but nothing more then that! not worth risking anything over! i have witnessed very pretty bartenders in the past who were actually great, but the jealously & competition among them got those girls either fired or made them want to quit! ( i don't blame the later!) i think the good reviews this place gets is coming from their current employees & not patrons! to me, this place is bad news! you can keep bashing the lodge all you want, but it is a step up from maple! if you are looking for trouble, then maple is the place for you! i wouldn't recommend it otherwise. you never know what to expect & that's a risk i am no longer willing to take! contact your local police dept. they will tell you how often they get calls from or about this place! better off safe then sorry later.

• Pros: the pizza is not bad! more for the younger, 21 year olds!
• Cons: alot of fights, bad music, poor parking, alot of cops called often! like a teeny bopper crowd
