In Short – Thirteen dining rooms branch out in all directions from the lobby of this maze-like restaurant, which seats a whopping 1,100 patrons. Grandfather clocks, old photos and kitschy craft displays adorn the walls; service is fast and friendly. Baked, then flash-fried, fried chicken comes out tender and juicy, with a light crust of secret-recipe breading. The menu also offers T-bones, whitefish and fried shrimp. Dessert offerings include soft ice cream and brandy ice.

Charming atmosphere, good food

My family and I have been eating here for years. The side dishes they bring to the table to keep you happy while you wait for your meal are very nice. The corn fritters alone are worth the price of the meal! (or at least my children think so) They mostly advertise their chicken, but they also have some of the best aged steaks in the area. There is seldom a wait. I have always found the service very prompt and friendly. The owner usually comes around and says hello to everybody- he takes pride in the place and it shows.
- Pros: Friendly service, good food, relaxed atmosphere- CORN FRITTERS!
- Cons: Limited menu- basically just chicken and steak
