Good food, inconsistant service, long wait

Inconsistant is the word that comes to mind when I think of Sullivans. Food is usually good, but service can be iffy. We either have great service or we have to wait longer then we should to get something we need. Even with reservations there can be and usually is a long wait. Very crowded and parking in the area is a headache. Too pricey for families as everything is ala carte. We go here for a special occassion date night when we don't want to travel to Morton's, Gibson's or Laywry's.

Great Find Dining Experience

Great Food, Greater Service. Staff are friendly and attentive. Restaurant is clean and organized. They have good sized bar that you can seat at while waiting to be seated. Sometime the line waiting to be seated can be very long. Food is worth waiting for.

The food is incredible only outdone by the service. Only complaint is the lack of parking. But that is true for all of the restaurants in the area

Disappointing

Everything about this meal was average for the $$$$. This is a case of charging more money just because they can........ Service is snooty.

The steak was ok, but that was the ONLY good part of my entire meal.

For a 6oz filet with some crabmeat (that was dry) $40 is extreme. I also had to send it back because the server never asked me how I wanted it prepared. My husband had asparagus with his meal that was mush. Dessert was boring and dry. Nothing left me wanting to go back.

Great Steaks - Just ask for how you'd like it! Great Wine

This is my regular when I visit Chicago area. Great steaks. Wonderful wine steward and wine selections. Pricy, but you get what you pay for. Always had a good experience here.

  • Pros: Steaks, Wine
  • Cons: A little too crowded... remove a few tables. I always get a booth
