Can't beat it..
Walking in to see Brian at the bar is one of those Cheers-like experiences in that he seems to know what you're drinking and is genuinely happy to see you every time you swing by. That said, My Bar combines all things good about a night out drinking: quality selection, solid low-key Chicago peeps, the occasional DJ to spin some tunes, and Golden Tee. Go here and go often.

greatest bar!.
The owners and bartenders here are definitely the best in the city. They take care of everybody who walks into the bar.

Slightly sophisticated neighborhood den nods to Ol' Blue Eyes..
The Scene
A regular hangout for the neighborhood crowd--though eventually its glowing orange martini sign should catch a few eyes and bring in the curious. My Bar is evidently named for Frank Sinatra's "My Way," as photos of the Rat Pack and Marilyn decorate the space. It's not overtly retro: Orangey walls are balanced by dark woods and a mirrored bar, but there are few frills overall. The front room features a jukebox and some stools, while a more intimate and conversation-friendly back area has stools and tables.
The Draw
It's a nicer neighborhood bar that's almost classy enough in the early evening for a drink with a date. The logo implies martini-swilling, but the clientele's mostly ordering beer. For a small place, there's an impressive eight draft beers, including British ale Tetley's. Once business heats up, this could be a prime destination.
