Disgusting!. Exceedingly disappointed in the quality of the food they serve. I had their pulled pork sandwich. The quantity of meat was paltry for the price - low value, and the meat itself was DRY, burnt and tasteless. The sauces they have at the table and on the shelf are in containers or bottles that are blatantly filthy. They were messy on the outside and most bottles had mounds of crust around and inside the spout - GROSS!!

Wouldn't go back ever!

Horrible BBQ!. I recently visited this restaurant with anticipation that it was going to be something GREAT, since it was featured on Chicago's Best. I was highly disappointed. I ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. On the menu is states that it is cooked for over 12 hours, blah blah blah...but, when I received it, it was nothing to brag about; dry and tough. They could have put more bbq sauce on it too. Yes, I could have put some more on myself, but considering the nastiness of the shelves of bbq sauce bottles I wouldn't have dared to use them. They definitely need to clean those up if they expect their customers to use them. I go to school down in S. Illinois and have visited a bbq place (featured on the Food Network, 17th St. Bar & Grill) in a very small town and received some of the best bbq I have every had! I would not recommend wasting the money to go to Uncle Bub's when you can get better at the local chain restaurants. Although the staff was very friendly, I won't be coming back to this place. It was very unsatisfying and for the money you definitely don't get the amount or quality of food you should. Don't bother!

Won't Go Back. We saw Uncle Bub's BBQ featured on Chicago's Best and decided to give it a try. Boy, were we disappointed! There were 5 of us in our party and not one of us would return. The pulled pork was terrible. Dry, burnt pieces mixed in with just more dry pork. The baked beans were too sweet and saucy. The cornbread was tasteless and didn't taste like cornbread at all. Just tasted like nothing at all. The fried mac and cheese balls were just kind of gross. However, the fries were actually pretty good. One person in our party had a 1/2 lb. burger and it was nothing special. Just a burger. The bottles of bbq sauces were disgusting. They need to be wiped off. The openings of the bottles were all gooped up and clogged. Very unappetizing. A lot of money for not very much food. We all left unsatisfied. We didn't bother having any of the desserts. This place kind of made us all feel like throwing up when got out of there. I must say, though, that the staff was very friendly. This bbq is by far some of the worst we have ever eaten. The Patio has much better pulled pork and much better quality.

Nothing Bad at Uncle Bub's. I have taken droves of people to Uncle Bub's, and no one has ever expressed anything but delighted amazement at the quality of food and the level of hospitality. You will be made welcome, and you will not go away hungry. I have grazed from pit barbecue to pit barbecue all over the country, and only a few places in the Deep South can top Bub's in a few categories: for example, I've had beans in Jackson, MississippiI, that I liked better than Bub's, but that was 30 years ago, and we're not IN Mississippi! After you've tried the brisket, ribs, and pulled pork, don't overlook the broasted chicken, and the last Wed. of every month there's a corned beef & cabbage dinner that my husband never misses. In my opinion, Foodsmoker was smokin' more than food when he criticized Uncle Bub's. We never miss a chance to eat there, and our adult children make a point of eating there whenever they get back to the area. To top it all off, the owner is the kindest person alive, and his managers will practically shine your shoes. Such a pleasant place!

Really, Over Priced and Over Smoked? Nope you are not a true BBQ lover.. This unique place is one of the best BBQ places outside of other famous BBQ cities like Memphis, Kanasa City, Houston, etc. If you don't like smoked meats then why do you even bother to come. I suggest you should go to preboiled meats that just warmed up before your eyes on a hot grill dress up with sweet ketchup wanted to be BBQ sauce like famous ***/2007 voter's No. 1 Hotdog joint. You will definately enjoy smoke flavor the moment you walk in and you will never go other places. I wish there is one in the city.

Definately try fried mac-n-cheese. One regret about the smoked meat is the chicken, which is very dried for my taste.

ALL RESTURAUNTS SHOULD BE THIS GOOD. The absolute best barb-que bar none. Its amazing that with the fabulous sauce you can actually taste the smoke flavor of the meat. I recommend the babyback ribs, and you better get a full slab. The wife recommends the chicken or the bbq nachos. And do not leave without trying the HOT LINK. We travel, and NO ONE has as good of a hot link as Uncle bubs. Not St Louis, Kansas city, memphis, None. The only thing missing is Sweet Tea which they assured me they were trying to find a vendor. The manager greets every guest, and makes sure you are fully satisfied, need a drink refill he's your guy. Unbelieveable.

Best BBQ I know of!!. I have been to almost every BBQ restaurant around and this is my favorite place. My all time favorite is the St Louis style ribs which I beleieve they only have tuesdays and Fridays. They are always tender, juicy and smoky. Also their sauces are the best. Not to sweet, with a little tang and spice, and you can get a few to take home. I have always gotten the best service around from everyone there. Weeekends tend to be pretty busy with a short wait. It's definately not a quiet place, so if you are looking for romantic this is not the place, especially with the amounts of kids there on weekends. If you are looking for good ol comfort food and BBQ with a family feel then this is the place to go!

Authentic barbecue shack that smokes up meaty favorites for West Suburban families.. In Short
Meat eaters make it a hands-on experience at this casual restaurant, where booths are topped with red-and-white checked tablecloths and rolls of paper towels. A wall of hot sauces and condiments, which include zesty dill pickles and giardiniera, please hardcore heat seekers. Popular choices include pulled pork platters, barbecue ribs and smoked turkey, plus sides like fried mac and cheese, crunchy slaw and hearty chili.
