FOOD POISONING in this restaurant. I got a very bad case of food poisoning after eating in this place. Stay far from this restaurant!
Good Food. For a chain restaurant, food is quite good. Price are reasonable. Wait staff varies widely from good to change jobs. Wait times normal.
Kansas-based restaurant started in 1972 entices 30-somethings and families with a flashy menu, inventive drinks and chic, but accessible, decor..
In Short
Considered a founding father of American casual dining, Houlihan's transformed its once-kitschy decor and meat-and-potatoes menu into a contemporary restaurant serving eclectic cuisine. Geared toward a slightly more upscale crowd, warmer colors and modern art adorn the walls, while Indie rock tunes and a patio leading to a walk-around bar remind you that you're not in Kansas anymore. The globetrotting menu juxtaposes classic burgers and wings with innovative selections like tuna wontons and herb-cheese stuffed mushrooms.
Such a fun Place!. My co-workers and I went here for a Friday night dinner and had a really great experience. The food was delicious and the service was top notch! I would definitly reccoment anyone who works downtown to check this place out after the hustle and bustle of a work day!
Overpriced and very average brunch. Houlihans was right next to our hotel so we went there for breakfast before shopping Saturday morning. We were hoping to be to order off a menu but all they had was a buffet for $14. It was very average and definitely not worth $14.
Nice view. Sit in the bar and you have a great view of the river and the Tribune building. This place wasn't as smokey as other pubs in Chicago. Staff was pretty attentive and the drinks weren't expensive. Can't say anything about the food since we only had drinks, but it looked good.
