“The sandwiches are tasty and the atmosphere is okay.”
“great pickles, coles slaw, everything the only thing it lacked was beer.”
“love these sandwiches.”
“boring selection of meats, tasteless bread.”
“If you are looking for a great place to grab a sandwich downtown then look no further!”
“This joint has great sandwiches and good service at an excellent price.”
“Their portions are average, their prices are low, and the food is good.”
“I've been to Potbelly's more times than I can count, and yes, they do have long lines because so many people love their delicious sandwiches.”
Good food ...but you end up wanting more.
The sandwiches are great and so are the shakes and side dishes. But when you finish the sandwich you end up wishing there were just 3 or 4 more good bites.
The lines are long but the people are helpful and friendly. Plus the employees seem to like the place and are proud of it which is a big contrast to your local Burger King.
No Way Is Santullo's Better!. I've been to Potbelly's more times than I can count, and yes, they do have long lines because so many people love their delicious sandwiches. However, their assembly-line style service is the fastest, most efficient in the city and will get you your food in 5-10 minutes. Also, I recommend taking advantage of their call-ahead ordering, which guarantees no waiting at all. I've been to Santullo's on numerous occasions, and to say it even compares to Potbelly's is to do a great disservice to Potbelly's.
Santullo's is better!.
Potbelly's is good, everyone knows that and that is part of the problem. Their lines are way too long and the people working there are rude if you don't know their "system". The first and only time I have gone there, I waited in line for 10 minutes, then I didn't know what to order and when and they didn't offer any help, only harsh directions.
Recently a place opened on North Ave. right by Damen called Santullo's Eatery, they are nice, food is better and you have more selections. They have the same type of toasted sandwiches.
good sandwiches.
good selection of sandwiches, kind of like quiznos but better!
great pickles, coles slaw, everything the only thing it lacked was beer.
A1 Prime. Have only been to the one at Midway Airport. Fantastic tasting sandwiches, real meat, prepared quickly. Price - can't even buy a Chicago Style Hotdog for the price you pay at Potbelly's for a good sandwich, chips, pop.
The best sandwich in Chicago. Potbelly's make the best sandwiches. That's all there is to it. The bread is great and the toasting makes it perfect. Lines move fast and service is great. My sister, a New Yorker, always asks to come to Potbelly's when she visits Chicago.
Potbelly's has the best italian sub. Potbelly's is excellent from their hand-made shakes to their italian sub with hot giardinera peppers! Perfecto!!!
Potbellylicious!. Best turkey sub I have ever had. I have never once been disappointed. The key to a good sub is always in the bread, and this sub has great bread! Try the chocolate malt if you're up for it. It's also great. The soups are nothing to rave over, but they're edible. On the weekends, they usually have a live acoustic performance going as well to add to the ambience. TAKE THAT SUBWAY!
I little more variety, please!.
Potbelly's is a good deal, but pretty bland. They have one type of bread available and only a limited number of sandwiches.
I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, which was toasted before the ckicken was put on. There was barely enough salad to keep the very dry bread from catching in my throat.
A good basic sandwich place but number 1?
beyond all expectations. being new to the city and greater chicago area, i had heard about potbelly snadwich works. they said it was good, which is an understatement. it surpassed my expectations. tasty and cheap. not to mention the very convienent locations--right across the street from the chicago theatre.
