Poor Retail Service, Poor Product Knowledge. My first visit at the Ruby Room was yesterday (Sunday) around 1pm. There were two people working the retail end of the business, one young man, one young woman. In general, the staff was not particularly attentive or friendly, inexcusable considering the tiny size of the store. I asked the woman to give me some information about this unusual makeup line called Susan Posnick. The applicators were very unusual and I wanted to better understand the application. To make a long story short, it was shocking how clueless this woman was. We determined later, that she gave me completely incorrect information. It was as if she had never seen the makeup line before and was trying to figure it out and make it up as she went along. Ridiculous when they are asking over $70 for their foundation. If I owned this salon, I would would be embarrassed and looking for some new employees.

This place is worth every penny!. I found this by chance and was I lucky! I went for the colon hydrotherapy....I had never been before. I haven't been feeling right and Wendy made a new woman outta me! She made it so comforting, was amusing and yet very professional. I was afraid it would be embarrassing and who knows what, but it was quite the opposite! She did everything discretely and I seriously feel so much better today. Wendy suggested that I see Melanie for a reading...boy, am I glad that I did. She is an amazing person with such a gift. She has put me on a path of mental wellness that I couldn't find otherwise. Run, don't walk is right! I'm running back there this weekend for Meditation!!!

contemporary chillest spa experience. I found out about Ruby Room on one of these online discussion boards yesterday, and was blown away! I went in for colon hydrotherapy, but decided to also get a massage. When I walked in I was struck by the beautiful eclectic art, clean facilities, expanse and size of the spa, and friendly intuitive staff. Honestly the most contemporary chillest spa experience I've ever had.

I got a massage from Stephanie, and she worked my tense shoulders for the entire hour. Non of that entire body-massage crap that leaves you wanting more in the areas you truly need. Her pressure was PERFECT from the second she began.

Then I got colon hydrotherapy from Neysa. She talked me through my first-time, what i would expect and feel. It wasn't bad at all by the way. But having her by my side in the dim-lit room made me feel at ease. I even got an anatomy lesson and hug to boot!

Even the receptionist, Victoria (i think was her name) was super sweet and told me about the cool treatments she has had such as: ear-waxing -- which i am going to be going into in the near future.

If you don't want to get serviced they have amazing sents, make-ups, jewelry, bags, and art. I highly recommend!

Great facials by Amy at Ruby Room. Amy's facials at Ruby Room were voted THE BEST by Chicago Magazine for good reason! She is very knowledgeable about skin care and tailors your facial to you and your skin care needs. Great experience!
