The Scene – Arguably Chicago's best-known blues club for years (it debuted in 1989), Legends' schedule benefits tremendously from the club's spacious layout and the drawing power of its dynamic boss man. Fascinating memorabilia adorns the painted blue walls--search for the framed displays of Muddy Waters' credit cards. Pool tables are more fun when crowds are thinner. – – The Draw – Arrive early for a good table; for such a well-appointed place, sound quality is dependent on where you are. The bar side may be best to achieve an aural balance, though the sight lines…
True Jazz, Good Cornbread, Decent BBQ

Within walking distance from the loop, and a good atmosphere. Buddy Guy's is a breath of fresh air for a visitor from Seattle. We paid $10 per person for cover on a Sunday night and were treated to a good show. The environment was just right as there was a crowd but the place wasn't uncomfortably packed. My wife ordered the Pecan Pie and I had the Soul Combo. The pie was excellent and the Soul Combo was above average. The portion was huge but the ribs were a little tough. This is definitely a sit and listen to music kind of place which contrasts with Kingston Mines. The crowd was definitely older and appreciative of the vibe. I would recommend this place to friends as a must visit while in Chicago.
- Pros: Atmosphere, service, music and cornbread
- Cons: Ribs were tough and poor military discount
Best blues joint in the city!

born & raised on the southside of chicago & a very big blues fan, i have to say this is by far, THE best blues club in the city. in any city. great music, great people, great food, great fun. the after work sets are cool if you work downtown & wanna miss the big commuting crowd & just hang out & listen to some good acoustic blues - maybe grab a bite, grab a beer & play a little pool. the headliners are always a treat too. don't miss this place.
Had a Great Time

I was there this past summer and had a great time. It was jam night and We got to hear some really good local talant. I thought the Staff was pretty cool, just dont stand where the sign says not to! Someone I was with has a hard time getting around and the staff found him a seat right away. This was a good experience and the next time I am in Chicago I will be back. Oh yeah, be careful with the parking...bring cash!! Parking in Chicago is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!
- Cons: parking
