“The tuna was pretty good, but I guess I just didn't know what steakhouse rye was when I ordered it or I got the wrong bread.”
hmmm - so, so. I was in town for a few days and had been seeing the Corner Bakery a lot and wanted to try it. On my way to the train the day I left I though I would stop by for some lunch before my flight. I got the tuna salad on steakhouse rye and my friend got a club panini. The tuna was pretty good, but I guess I just didn't know what steakhouse rye was when I ordered it or I got the wrong bread. It was more like a pumpernickel with raisins and nuts. No biggie, I ate it. The club however just didn't really have much taste, was very soggy, and the bacon was barley cooked. Just overall not a great first impression. I guess if I were in a pinch it would do.
okay for quick bite. it's fine food for a quick bite, although i was disappointed with my cafe au lait when the server gave me half a cup of steamed milk to top off with regular house coffee from the outside. the coffee was very watered-down and it tasted bland.
