Half A$$ed Mom and Pop shop

Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! My TV set was picked up on 11/28/08 and taken to their shop for repairs and as of today (4/9/09), nothing. Have I followed up with them?!?! For a while, it seemed as if though I was calling twice a week. On at least three ocassions, Ben told me 'It will be done this Saturday'. When Saturday came, it was always the same excuse...'we need more time'. When I asked for a loaner, they tried to sell me one of their TV's instead so that maybe I would forget about the repairs on my TV. Very tacky!! I stopped calling for updates often because the phone would always be picked up by the annoying lady at the front desk who must have asked me 100 time for my name and number. Don't they have my information in a computer system along with a work order # or something!?!? Ben told me on several occasions that the delays were caused by heavy workloads from chain stores like Walmart or Best Buy (can't remember which) that subcontract work to them. This gave me the impression that they only cater to the big customers and not regular paying custmers like me. All in all, this place should be avaioded at all costs....even free repairs!!!!
- Pros: None yet
- Cons: Lousy service, don't deliver on promised completion
Lousy Service

Before dropping off my Sanyo projector I specifically asked Ben if he had the knowhow to fix LCD projectors. I asked the same question again in person--------he assured me that he could fix my PJ.
After two months (that's right eight weeks) I finally got a hold of Ben (he failed to return my calls no fewer than four times) and he said " I can't fix it, I have to send it to Sanyo". I told him that I should have done that in the first place and he said " I get a dealer discount and will only charge you the amount on the invoice". I reluctantly agreed knowing I'd be out of town for 2 weeks .
After another month expired ( and another round of getting stiffed on call backs) I entered the store and demanded to see my projector. Ben said, "it's back from Sanyo, I just need to test it". Never mind the fact that he told me the same thing over the phone the prior week.
Wait---It gets better. I specifically indicated the PJ's image had a "yellowish" appearence likely due to a faulty LCD panel. So they set up a test (projecting onto ceiling because they lack or couldn't bother with a proper projection screen) using none other than a static image of a YELLOW MAP. Then they had the nerve to ask me if it looked OK. After making them display a white Image, it became completly obvious that the image suffered from the same yellow spots in the exact same area. In other words NOTHING HAD BEEN CORRECTED AFTER THREE MONTHS TIME! I told Ben I wasn't paying a dime and wanted my deposit back-------he agreed and said he was sorry and that he was angry at Sanyo for stiffing him. I can't prove it, (I didn't ask) but I bet the man would be hard pressed to produce an invoice from Sanyo!
In the intrest of fairness I should point out that after approx. a months time they gave me a loner PJ. Unfortunately, the loner was a 600 lumen PJ with a weak lamp and no remote control. Needless to say it was next to worthless in my theater.
Don't use this store!
