My friend and I had dinner at the
Montgomery, Illinois Applebees before attending a move on Sunday afternoon (6/10/2012). We really enjoyed the food, and the service was excellant. We had leftovers and didn't want to leave them in a hot car while watching the movie so we asked the asked the waiter if we could store the leftovers in their refrigerator for a couple of hours while we watched the movie. They were very nice about it and said it would be okay and so we did.
I have been to this Applebees a number of times and have always gotten very good service and very good food.

How to feed a family of 9, get superior service, and enjoy t.
We have been going to this Applebee's for many years and once again they have done a great job. Lisa our server was all over it. Not an easy chore when serving 9 people of which 7 are children, but she never missed a beat. Nachos were not on the menu but they still managed to create a large plate full. When the main entres arrived everything was hot and the portions were very generous. Lisa kept the drinks always full and was very delightful. The manager, Dan Taylor and the rest of the staff was also very eager to help. In all, a very good meal for everyone.

Big portions of mainstream American fare, served up in a convivial, family atmosphere..
In Short
A low-key, friendly environment attracts plenty of families to this reliable chain. Kids in the big booths--often clutching free balloons and crayons--usually outnumber adults sitting at the bar. The menu offers filling American fare with no surprises, from mozzarella sticks and nachos to rollups and burgers. Entrees include steaks, fajitas and main dish salads. The calorie-conscious can select from a list of Weight Watchers-inspired dishes like mesquite chicken salad and grilled tilapia with mango salsa.
