The Dream Ring

For anyone who has gone through the process of trying to pick out the perfect engagement ring and matching wedding band you understand that this task can be daunting. I remember going to countless jewelry stores and watching my girlfriend try on many different types of rings, but we found that we could not find that perfect ring; we liked the prongs of one ring, the shank of another ring, and so on. I made the decision to have Windy City Diamonds make a custom engagement ring and matching wedding band that incorporated all of the attributes we highly desired. Garry Zimmerman was extremely professional, patient, and dedicated to achieving my goal in creating the vision that I had in my mind. The rings turned out much better than I had ever imagined! Taking the time to design a ring for my wife has a special meaning for both of us that goes way beyond what retail rings can ever possess. If you are willing to take the time to design a ring, I would highly recommend Windy City Diamonds, and make sure you work directly with the owner, Garry Zimmerman. It is unbelievable how many complements my wife gets on her rings; we had professional appraisers and other jewelers marvel over the quality and design.

Helpful, Fair Price, Gave Me What I Wanted!

My experience overall was very positive. I worked with Sarah Duprey and could not have been more helpful. At no time did I feel pressured or rushed. I started with a general idea, and Sarah helped me create a custom ring by showing me examples of various rings in the store. From there the process moved very quickly. Great customer service and communication.

I definitely recommend Windy City Diamonds. I purchased an engagement ring for my fiancee at this store a couple weeks ago. Garry, the owner, is extremely patient and honest. We custom built the ring together and I could not wait to show her the ring. The quality of the service and the final product is flawless.

Perfect Service - WCD is the Best!

I was referred to Windy City Diamonds by my cousins as I searched for an engagement ring for my girlfriend (now fiance!). I had been working with a few wholesale jewelers, and had done my research on diamonds and generally determined the setting I wanted. I had picked out an antique/art deco style for the setting, matching the tastes of my fiance. From the first phone call with Garry, WCD was exceptional. I gave Garry my general price range, the type of ring I wanted, and my timeframe. Garry picked out three amazing diamonds for me to choose from. Once the diamond was selected, I worked with Garry on the final design on the setting (WCD sent a few CAD drawings until it was exactly what I wanted). Just a few weeks later I had my ring - and my fiance loved it, exactly what she would have wanted if she had picked it out herself.

My experience with WCD was flawless. They immediately responded to all of my requests and questions, provided me with fantastic quality materials and diamonds, and took all the stress out of this purchase. I will absolutely be using WCD for my wedding rings and would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Awesome Experience - Highly Recommended!

I could not have had a better experience with Garry Zimmerman at Windy City Jewelers. When I first went in, Garry devoted about an hour of his time to teaching me about diamonds and what to look for and then showed me about 10 different diamonds from the seemingly very large inventory that they have. After my initial visit I was not ready to make the purchase yet, but at no point was there any sort of hard sell. When I returned several months later to make the purchase, Garry remembered what we had looked at before and showed me a bunch more diamonds. After finding a great diamond, we looked through numerous options for settings and together custom-designed the perfect ring. I am thrilled with the experience I had and my fiancee loves the ring. The customer service was incredible and the price was great (comparable to internet wholesalers). We will certainly be going to Garry for our wedding bands.
