Delicious Steak. Together with my friends we visited N9NE Steakhouse. We ordered steak and it was a superb. The dessert was great too. The service was always a 5 stars.
Great Atmosphere. Hey, I can't complaint about the decor and atmosphere. People were looking good in here. But the price is high. But I wasn't expecting anything less.
5 star service 5 star food. Wow. The absolutee best service I have ever recieved at any restaurant at any price point ever!!!!!
Great Food Bad Service. Nine has been a favorite of ours in past years. After a period of absence we decided to take friends there to celebrate one of their birthdays as we wanted the night to be special for him. The dinner started off ok, but then noticed that the waiter blatently ignored the women at the table and acknowledged only the men. Even when he was told we were there to celebrate a birthday he said "OK, got it" and then just ignored the request whispered to him. We ordered dessert and coffee. The dessert was plopped down in the middle of the table, the coffee came well after the dessert was gone. I motioned to the waiter that he forgot the birthday as it ruined the whole thing. He came back with a little cookie on a plate with a candle in it and just dropped it in front of our friend without a word. Unbelievable. I do want to acknowledge that the food was excellent as it always is. The valet, the hostess, the coat check girl-all very cordial. The bad service was somewhat of a damper on what was supposed to be a celebration for our friend. I would still recommend the place, just wish we would have had a differant server.
There is better for the price.... Ok. I had a groupon to Nine. I'd been there once before years before and figured I'd try it again. The fillet that I had was so terrible and overcooked that I joined citysearch just to write this review. The Scallops my girlfiend had were really good. For the price, I expect more. I have no problem paying for food. Seriously Nine.
Great Experience.
My fiancee and I recently spent our two year anniversary at N9NE Steakhouse. This had to possibly be the best dinner we have ever had together. My fiancee forgot what time he made our reservation for so we were late. But when we came in 30 min after the reservation time, the hostess was so sweet and they still were able to fit us in. Our server suggested a wonderful red wine he thought we would enjoy. He was right. I now recommend an Argentine wine - the Paul Hobbs Malbec. It was a perfect compliment to our meal.
Everything tasted so good and the portion size was amazing! Salads were enough for two to share, as well as the sides we chose to go with our steaks. Our filet and NY sirloin were cooked perfectly, in fact I don't think I have ever eaten so much at one meal in my life!
The food is definitely worth the price, especially if you are going for a special occasion. And as we were leaving it started to downpour but the valet service was more than happy to hail a cab for us, which was great!
Nice Place, Good Service.
Went here to celebrate my bf's birthday.
I'm guessing N9ne had an off day bc of recent reviews, but when we went we really enjoyed ourselves. Our waitress was great and when she wasn't around the busboys were around helping. There was maybe 3 floating managers that stopped by our table and asked us if everything was ok or if we needed anything. Not once did we feel neglected. Although it is pricey I think it's worth it.
Worst dining experience in Chicago. I brought 7 women to the N9Ne Restuarant on Wednesday June 23. The service was terrible from the valet parking to the hostess and the waitress. It was pouring rain the valet directed us to the back of the resturant, did not have umbrellas and instucted us to enter through the kitchen. The Hostess was extremely rude. Did not listen to our name and sent us to the wrong party. The restuarant was practically empty but she was too busy to listen. The waitress was gone for long periods of time. We were not able to order the wine until the entre arrived and we complained. Our second bottle of wine was served as we asked for the check. Our waitress could not be found to give us the check so we waited for that . When we left there was no one to help us get a cab and were told by the hostess, "they don't do that" It was raining, luckily some of us had umbrellas. worst dining experience in Chicago
What a disappointment. We went here for a nice dinner before Harry Connick. The staff was slow and rude, our food came before our drinks, my Aunt had to send back her lobster it was completly over cooked and they wouldn't call us a cab at the end. Were very easy going and I have never written a bad review before but this expierence forced me to get on and complain. Plus it's not like I couldn't tip or tip less and show my disappointment to the staff because gratutity was included for our group. It was a very disappointing dinner there are plenty of other choices that actually care when your spending over 600 bucks for a meal.....FInd them and avoid NINE.
still a favorite. My boyfriend and I had a great dinner recently at N9NE. I love the decor and the booths are spacious. I have my favorites when I go to N9NE - rock shrimp and bone in ribeye - both delicious! My bo loves the oysters on the half shell - so fresh - and king crab which is a monster in size. OMG cant forget the black truffle potato gratin was to die for! Definitely want him to take me back for Valentine's Day! <3
