I was at Tuscany yesterday having dinner with my family. The food was good , but the service was terrible. The bar tender was very rude and treated my family and I as if we were outsiders. I had a very unpleasant time and will never go back to pay money to be treated unfairly.

Great food and better service. This is by far and away one of the best restaurants in the city. The food is always excellent. Their specials change daily, and never fail. We've ordered in and they always accommodate special requests. We've eaten there about once a month for the last 4 years and never had an issue. The service is always impeccable. Don't miss Tuscany on Taylor.

Great Old World Italian. We were strolling down Taylor st. and came across this gem of a restaurant. Waiters dressed in black and very knowledgeable. We had a light dinner of pizza, which was awesome....service was even better!

Overall an excellent little neighborhood place to get great food!

Great italian food, good store too. Amazing food! They actually make all their pasta and sauce from scratch! They are incredible and they are really cheap!

THe best thing about the restaurant is the shop on your way out.. They actually jar and sell the sauce that the make. its amazing but you have to cook it yourself - haha!

Definetly worth seeing and experiencing

Best Italian. Tuscany on Taylor is by far one of the best resturants in the city, food is the best and very consistant. The staff at the front is great,Alex and Peter run the resturant with ease, the wait staff is friendly and attentive. What more can you ask for in a dining experience.Oh, the pricing is very fair. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!! chi town mo

Date Night Place. I was here this past Friday on a date, and while the overall ambience was nice - the "happy hour" crew was in full force (at 9 pm!) and a lot of 30 somethings that live in the area were belligerent and obnoxious. That is my only complaint, other than that - the food was wonderful, and the portions are huge!! It's a great place to go if you're a college student, and even if you're not, check it out.

Best Hostess. The food is excellent! I have never had a bad meal and we try to go once a week. We always take special customers and out of town guests. This restuarant feels like a smalll family owned place instead of a chain. Order from the specials they are really excellent. Great wine list and standard menu.

It is a little noisy, but most casual great restaurants are.

Little Italy mainstay specializes in Northern Italian cuisine, featuring freshly made pastas.. The large, brightly lit dining room with green-and-white checkerboard tableclothed tables gives way to an open kitchen where diners can see meals being prepared. Shelves adorned with tomato cans, boxes of dried pasta and hanging copper pans give the room a homey feel, while one wall is dedicated to an Italian street scene mural. Chef Vitorio Moreno aims for an authentic Northern Italian menu. Pasta fagiole soup is nicely balanced with a bountiful helping of vegetables and beans. Wood-grilled pizzas have a satisfying crunch. The pear and parmesan ravioli in a pine nut and mascarpone cheese sauce is one of many cream-heavy pasta dishes.

detroitmike. Everything was great. We loved the food and that we could sit ourside. People watching wasn't bad either. Service was wonderful (and pretty too). We stayed downtown but the trip was worth it.

Authentic Italian. If you want to experience wonderful Italian food and be waited on by fun yet very professional servers that know their food then this is your place. The bill might get a little high for two on a romantic evening but the flavors, smells and service all make it worth it. If you don't mind a fairly simple but very tasteful ambiance this is your place. Sometimes there's a little (literally) smoke that seeps over from the bar area but that's the only downer. Relax, smile, savor and enjoy. :-)
