Always crowded on the weekends, you should be able to easily get in during the week. Try the cornmeal pancakes.
No worries. My wife and I came across this restaurant shortly after moving to Chicago, and after being here for 6 months, it has become a weekly staple for us! There is just no bad meal here! Breakfast, outstanding! Lunch, outstanding! Dinner, outstanding! Service is great as well. And the best part, you can find cheap parking (meters, not lots) within a block at just about anytime. Its a must stop in my opinion!
The Best Brunch. This is by far one of the best comfort food southern cuisine treats in the city of Chicago. I have been dinning at the Wishbone for over 7 years and it is by far one of my favorite places to eat. The food especially the crawfish cakes are delightful. The price is right and the portions are hearty, it is one of Chicago's best. However ther can be a wait and the Washington street location is very loud.
timing is important. Extremely helpful waitress! We arrived with our 4 children for breakfast at 11am to find out it was no longer served. Cut off was 10:30am. We were disappointed but stayed for the lunch which was ok.
Favorite Inexpensive Rest.. Great value, southern style comfort food, love the Hoppin' Jack and Corn Cake Appetizer, great breakfasts, eclectic patrons
Great Spot. One of my favorite places to take friends visiting Chicago.
Great Food for a good price!. I dine at this restaurant all the time and the food is always good. I recommend the crawfish cakes and the crab cakes for dinner. The prices are very affordable it is worth the money. But there is a wait for the Sunday Brunch so make a reservation if you can.
Top Notch. The food is great regardless of what meal, but Breakfast is superb. The atmosphere is interesting and sometimes exciting. Great Place To Eat!
Only the Best. When I was a child, my mother worked as a waitress at Wishbone. Often she'd bring me home some of their delicious corn muffins. I've never forgotten the incredible taste of those muffins and they are my ultimate comfort food.
Wishes come true. One of the best ever. Lunch isn't exactly "chopped Liver" either
Great Brunch. A great place for Sunday morning breakfast. One of my favorite restaurants. Great people watching and tasty food at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for?
