Where else can you get this much corned beef for such a low price? They've been open so long because they do it right.

Such a great deli.... I love everything about Manny's, best sandwiches anywhere, love the history as well, just wish they had one up north or in the western suburbs.

been going here since I could walk. you need to visit this place now...the area is becoming very affluent and I think the days are numbered for Manny's. If you can't decide go for the corned beef. So you don't look stupid, after you get your food they tally up your total, give you a receipt, you eat, enjoy relax and shoot the breeze. When you are done, pay your bill at the cash ONLY register. This is the kind of place Jerry, George and Kramer would regular. Surprisingly enough parking is still easy. Enjoy.

Chicago landmark delivers and delivers and delivers. If you want a taste of old time Chicago, head to Manny's!

Sandwiches, hot plate meals are the order of the day. Get in line and make up your mind quickly as the guys behind the counter are ready to serve. In a good way, you'll get an earful if you don't order the right way!

So, I went with a roast beef sandwich that was so filled with roast beef, and stacked so high on the bread that I literally had to use a knife and fork to eat the sandwich!!! Outside of being embarrassed as I struggled with the mighty sandwich, the flavor is awesome.

Take your sandwich after you pay and you are surrounded by a bunch of either Loop workers out for lunch(it's worth the small drive) or old timers from around the neighborhood sitting shooting the breeze.

There is nothing fancy about this place. You come for the sandwiches, the aura of an old time deli(the place has been around for over 50 years) and the opportunity to take half of that monster sandwich home with you.

If you get a chance, head to Manny's. You won't be disappointed, and you will find your way back quicklly and often. I know I do.

Awesome. This place has more character than any other place in the city. Gino behind the counter is the friendliest guy in the world. I come here to get away from the pretenciousness of Lincoln Park, Wicker Park etc. After a long night of chaos at the Black Beetle, we come to Manny's the next morning for the best corned beef sand anywhere. This place is a staple in the city and the only thing I could ever suggest to change would be to be open late on Sundays. Otherwise, not one thing. I crave this place every few weeks.

A better knosh you will not find in Chicago. A real Jewish-style steam table cafeteria with soul. My two favorite items that often get missed by many customers are the melt-in-your-mouth kishke and the chopped liver. They have these recipes down to perfection. Not for the diet conscious.

Manny's Coffe Shop and Deli. Hands down, the best Deli, Chi-town or NY. My dad used to take me there. Matza ball soup, a or my fav, Kreplach soup with roast beef, or Pastrami, or corn beef sandwiches, piled on high with meat, with Kosher pickle and tomatoes and Potato pancakes, to almost die for. Never, ever, had bad soup or sandwich and if you are Really hungry, try the mammoth beef stew with mountains of carrots, potatoes, celery and gravy, to say nothing of the tender lumps of braised beef. Slosh it all down with a Coke. I'm goin'; over there for an early lunch today!

A gem -- but know what you're doing. Much like a New York deli, the people at this cafeteria have no patience for those who don't know how the lines work. But a little embarrassment is worth it for the huge corned beef sandwiches and delicious matzo ball soup!

Legendary cafeteria serves up deli-style dishes like corned beef sandwiches.. In Short
The corned beef and pastrami palace of the southwest Loop, this cafeteria-style diner also serves breakfast plates of hash: corned beef piled high and scattered with bits of pepper, onion and chunks of potato with two eggs perched on top. Deli dishes abound, including cheese blintzes, potato pancakes, even roast tongue sandwiches, but the towering corned beef sandwich is king. The cook's beef stew overflows with carrots, potatoes and celery.

Great deli. The matza ball soup and all of Manny's sandwiches are excellent. If you like to have that "old-school" cafeteria feeling with great food, you'll love Manny's. I've never had a bad sandwich here.
