“Short, or no wait for tables, attentive, efficient and friendly staff, variety of wonderful appetizers and entrees, softly lit and relaxed atmosphere are some of the +'s.”

“This is a perfect date spot that is sure to leave a great impression and some money in your pocket too!”
Attentive Service, Average Food. Came here on a Thursday night around 6pm. Location is a bit off the beaten path (right next to the expressway) and the bar was croweded and loud because of the Cubs game. We were seated in the "train car" by ourselves (thoughtful, considering the noise from the bar). Our waiter was attentive and offered good suggestions. Food was good, though nothing amazing. I'd come back if I found myself in the neighborhood and hungry, but wouldn't seek it out.
YUMMY!.
I found this place when I worked at the CBOE and fell in love with it! It has stayed my favorite Italian Resturant for 9+ years! You can't beat the ambiance, service, value and mostly the food - it's delicious and very much one of Chicago's best kept secrets!

Comfortable and romantic.
If you want a great dinner without the crowd, give this one a try. The bulk of their clientele are in for lunch and the dinner hours are relatively quiet. Short, or no wait for tables, attentive, efficient and friendly staff, variety of wonderful appetizers and entrees, softly lit and relaxed atmosphere are some of the +'s. Smoking allowed in the main dining room, non-smoking in a beautifully refitted dining car, which sides Congress Pkwy.
Truly a gem, it is quite refreshing to find such a place in the heart of the city, that is so inviting.
Where Chicago Board of Trade bigwigs settle in for "Sopranos"-style fare and flair..
In Short
Although this swank spot is set along the Eisenhower Expressway, the intimate interior seems worlds away. Upon entering, a large bar gives way to a dim dining room with white linen-topped tables, rust-hued walls and professionals who think nothing of donning suits for lunch. Popular menu items include spinach and ricotta ravioli, pork tenderloin, and veal saltimbocca cloaked in prosciutto, fontina cheese and sage-wine sauce.
Pleasantly Surprise!. We received a gift certificate from a friend and decided to take our chances for our "Nice meal" while we were in Chicago for our anniversary. The food was reasonably priced and was DELICIOUS! This restaurant is off the beaten path a bit (Not by all the trendy "Loop" places, still within walking distance though. Service was excellent. We will go back for 2nds!
