Citysearch Chicago. If ever there was a default date spot in Lincoln Park, this would be it. The corner space on crowded Clark Street benefits from amber light fixtures dimmed just so, American bistro food classics and a neighboring wine bar accessible from the interior. Colorful art provides a foil to dark wood tables, which seat no more than two or four, adding to the warmth of the room. The meals--like an earthy wild mushroom meatloaf, a sliced steak Florentine and an abbreviated selection of oven-fired pizzas--are the kind that stick to the bones on cold nights (or warm up chilly dates). Brunch brings the usual pancakes and eggs and one unpredictable: an Irish breakfast--complete with a pint of Guinness.
Very Accomodating, Friendly staff, GET THE COOKIE!! I think My Husband has a Man-Crush on The host! lol.
I don't even know where to start.. I love this place!
My Husband and I went there last night after a long day of shopping and my feet were killing me (I am 8 1/2 Months pregnant) and we had a dog and I thought that might have been a problem but I was pleasantly shocked when the Host and Hostess made me feel more welcome than ever! The guy with the New Yawk accent cracked a joke about me getting a seat before I "Popped"! and that was the begging of a lovely meal. I had the Wrightwood salad and My husband had the Steak Flourentine and both were excellent! After dinner the Host came up and told us about a chocolate chip cookie and we LOVED IT!!
I highly reccomend this place and look forward to going back sometime soon.

Great date place. My boyfriend and I love the food and the half-priced wine. It's a perfect Tuesday night date. We loved our food and wine. We also love wandering over to D.O.C. for a night cap and dessert.
great half price wine night. great place to go on the half price wine night...otherwise, not a big deal. This place was ok. Other than half price wine night, I would probably skip it. The spinach and artichoke dip was good but most places have great dips
Don't go there!. I was pretty horrified after one of the servers in the restaurant insulted me (not our server BTW) for not eating enough. Turns out I was pretty sick that evening but tried to make a go of it since it was one of the few nights we have a sitter for our son! I will definitely not be back to this place and urge whoever is reading to do the same. Restaurants who hire employees that go out of their way to insult their customers do not deserve your business!!
Great burgers!. Dunlay's has become one of our "go-to" places when we want a nice, casual dinner. The burgers here are absolutely the best, the individual pizzas are yummy, and the caesar salad is a wonderful treat for a light dinner on a hot humid night. The waitstaff are very friendly and attentive. Don't forget to try D.O.C. wine bar next door, which is another Dunlay's enterprise...the best part is after sampling a wine flight or two, and sharing a cheese plate, you can order your dinner from the Dunlay's restaurant.
Account Manager. I love this place, I have never had a bad meal or bad experience when I have dined or drank here. Every time I have out of town guests, I take them here and the experience is always the same OUTSTANDING!!! The wait staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. I have eaten everything from the filet to the salmon, it is always cooked to perfection. My favorite is the dessert, a freshly bake chocolate chip cookie that is cooked fresh, my mouth waters just thinking about it. Can't wait to go back!!!
Comfortable neighborhood spot with a lively bar scene and an impressive American menu..
A buzzing Lincoln Park crowd digs this casual hangout, which boasts a winning combination of neighborhood atmosphere and reasonably priced, well-executed American fare. Dark woods, low light and colorful art on the walls give the renovated room a cozy feel; broad windows give a bird's-eye view of the Clark Street bustle.
The comfort-food menu is accomplished, keeping locals coming back for satisfying fare like pepper-crusted seared sashimi tuna and flaky, tender grilled Idaho ruby red trout (be sure to get the crunchy "killer" wild rice on the side). The Wrightwood salad is a plate of greens, loaded with chicken, tomatoes, avocado and goat cheese; burgers are big and juicy, with crisp fries on the side. Save room for the nine-ounce chocolate chip cookie, served warm and gooey in a cast-iron skillet, topped with caramel sauce and a scoop of ice cream.
Delicious Dunlays. I just moved to the area in the past two months and had heard alot of good things about Dunlays on Clark, but never did I imagine that it would be THAT good. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt at home. The hostess was friendly and very accomadating. The service was impecible and the food was top notch. I enjoyed their wine list and most definitely this special dessert "pumpkin creme brulee" that the chef featured that night. The spinach artichoke dip was the best I ever had and the Italian Wedding Soup was out of this world. The fireplace makes this cozy restaurant like home away from home. I will be back many times!!
C- for food, F for service. The food here is going to have to improve tenfold before it becomes a little easier to forgive the slow and unfriendly service. The menu variety is slightly above average, but that is negated when hot food is served cold, and when the rest of our party is served except for the person who ordered a salad.
