Located across the street from the 11th Ward democratic offices, this bare-bones tap is decked with a picture of Mayor Daley, who is rumored to have at one point written policies in its hallowed walls. Also the site of a former speakeasy, the back door features a peephole. The menu is hearty and sustaining with standards like butt steak, burgers and corned beef and cabbage.
