Great location, great service and friendly people!. I had been going to Salon 1800 for some time but wanted something a little closer to home so I went in for a gloss with Katrina while she was still a student (paid only $20). The staff was SO relaxed, pleasant and trendy so I decided to go back for a cut. I was sold. The first girl I went to moved away so Yolanda now cuts my hair and she's great! In my experience, every stylist will take the time out to give you some trendy tips to style your hair and you will walk out feeling great. I've always been able to get in within a day (if not that day) of calling. Not to mention, they'll give you a free make-up consult with any service. Hello!

Great Atmosphere, Awesome Hair Cut!. Friendly, Upbeat, Attentive, Professional are few words I would use to describe everyone that I came in contact with while enjoying my experience at Salon Blue. I have super long hair and wanted a long layered haircut and Katrina gave me exactly what I asked for. Great conversation with Yolanda who shampooed & dried my hair. Great haircut, great service & just a nice experience all the way around. I will be getting color there as well. They carry Bumble & Bumble products which are top of the line and great hair care products. I think Salon Blue can handle just about any request so if you are new to chicago like me or you are just looking for a salon you can trust, I would call and make an appointment with them.

Don't waste your money!!. What a terrible experience I had at this salon.

Trust me and save your money! I just got one of the worst hair colors Ive ever had in my life. And, to top it all off, I paid a fortune for it.

As I kept saying, I hate it, I hate it, they kept saying, Oh, its cute, Oh its cute.

I wanted to scream.

Also, the first day of my color my hair felt great but just 4 days later, its so dry.

A big huge mess!!!! Ive tried to call and speak to someone. I either get no answer or a very rude girl at the front desk.

Save your money!

The Best haircut in years!!!!!!!!!!!. This was one of the best haircuts in a looooong time. I just had a BAD haircut somewhere else 4 wks ago, and I walked out with wet hair, and no clue how to style it . Fed up I went to see Emily Rogers in Bucktown and got the BEST haircut ever. I walked out of there looking for the red carpet. She gave me ideas and explained how to style my hair. I would highly recommend anyone to see her. I have long layered hair, but she is also very talented with short hair too. ( my co-worker is Emily's client also) Everyone at Salon Blue was very friendly! I will be back :)

Worst Color Experience EVER. I was blonde & wanted to go bright red & even brought in pictures of the color I wanted (like Bree from Desperate Housewives). I walked out of there with the weirdest old lady shade of bronze. I went back TWICE to have it corrected and now have dark brown hair, no red to it at all. The stylist didn't seem to have a clue about what color to use for bright red hair. The last time I came in, I was told a senior stylist would be there to supervise or color my hair. I now have to go to another salon to get this ugly drab brown out of my hair.

I'm Big Time Disappointed. I was new to the city. I wanted to fit in by getting a trendy new cut and color. They dry cut my blond curls with no rhyme or reason to a very ackward length. Next my hair was colored this horrible butterscotch color. I cried all the way home. Months later I had the haircut "fixed". The new stylist said I needed to grow it out some more before it can actually completely look decent again. The front desk girl was very cold to me. I feel horrible about the way I look now. I'm surprised what an effect something like this has had on my self-esteme.

Phenomenal!!!!!. I have finally found the best place in town for all of your beauty needs!!

Before I tried them I checked out their website.They tell you everything you need to know about their salon and the services they offer. I called and the receptionist was very informative and very patient with me. I booked an appointment with Anne Marie who gave me a FABULOUS cut and color. She also suggested I consult with the esthetician Denise who did a wonderful job with my brows. I also got a complimentary make up session from the make up artist. I got out of the salon feeling and looking like a million dollars. The salon was very hip, great service, great staff, and they were rockin to great music. I will be back!!

Third times a charm!. I relocated to Chicago this summer and had two not so great hair experiences at other salons. I picked Salon Blue after reviewing comments online. They were the only one that had all positive comments! I figured it had to be worth a try since I figure more people with bad experiences write a review than those with positive ones! The people were right. It's a great atmosphere, not snobby at all. Krista listened to what I wanted, was able to mix color pretty true to what I had before and gave a great cut!

one of chicago's best!!!. I'm new to chicago so I was just taking a wild leap when I decided to go here, but boy was I lucky. I got my hair cut, something I havent done in months, and I wasn't positive what I wanted to done. The stylist worked with my hair my hair to give me a natural, super sexy cut. She didnt try to push her style on me, like many salons do, and asked me what I wanted, then gave some suggestions. The complimentary make up service is amazing, I walked in not having any plans for the night but I had to go out becuase they made me look so wonderful! This is the best salon I've found yet in my life.
