Gives Great Hair!!. I've been going to Salon Blue in Bucktown for years and every time I walk out of there I feel and look great! Yolanda does my cuts and color and she knows what she is doing! She does an excellent job and I'll continue to go there to beautify my locks by her!

Wonderful Experience at Salon Blue. I had my hairs cut last night at Salon Blue in Bucktown by Katrina. She not only did a great job at listening to what I was looking for, but her execution was flawless. I love my cut! I recently had my hairs highlighted by my "regular" girl, and the highlights were a little bright and very stripy.. Katrina suggested that she put a Gloss on my hair to soften the highlights. I was scared, I am not gonna lie,.. but SO GLAD she did this for me. My hair color is beautiful, soft and more natural looking and my hair feels great today.

An Extroardinary Place. I have been going to Salon Blue for five years. My stylist, Yolanda, has been with me since prom, and I trust her with my life. The atmosphere and the staff makes Salon Blue one of my favorite places. Period. All of my girlfriends and their moms go to the salon now and we keep going back. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this place. The only problem I have is that I don't live in Chicago anymore and can't go to Salon Blue all the time.

Inconsistent; over priced. 4 visits in 1.5 years. 2 out of 4 visits sucked. 1 visit was the worst cut since I was 12. $100 cut and I wore my hair in a pony tail for a month. Color, was great however. Another visit: the worst highlight I ever had. Had to have it re-done and still wasn't happy. A first for me. Not good odds. During the bad hair cut visit, staff relentlessly tried to sell me product. I use B&B. I buy it when I am out of it. Please don't try to shove it down my throat. Won't be back. Too many other salons in the city to settle for this inconsistency.

Get what you pay for. I went into Salon Blue in November 08 for the first time with severely damaged hair - damage that came out of nowhere. It was so bad that I nearly cried every time I had to style my hair. I knew that I needed an expert, senior level stylist so I chose one of the owners of Salon Blue, MK. In five minutes I knew that I found my hair saviour.

MK examined my hair, prescribed a treatment program, gave me the best cut to accommodate/mask the damage, told me what to do and not to do and how we would manage my hair going forward to get it healthy. Within only a few months, my hair began to return to a normal, healthy state. I now have a full, healthy, shiny head of hair, not to mention great color and cut.

You get what you pay for ladies. I had been paying what I now know to be junior level stylists way too much money and getting nothing useful in return except over processing and wrong product suggestions.

Love this place!. I love this place! I am super picky about my hair and I have never been completely satisfied anywhere. Until I started going to Salon Blue. Mary Kay gives me the best cuts and color I've ever had and also is really concerned about the health of my hair, which is a huge bonus. I've been every color imaginable and when I started going here my hair was really dry and just done. She helped me coax it back to health by convincing me to give up permanent hair color and switch to semi-permanent. She really takes the time to talk to me about what I want and what's best for my hair and I love that.

Amazing Experience All Around. After waiting one year to grow out a bad haircut, I was excited to get a fresh start at new salon and with a new stylist. Salon Blue in Bucktown came highly recommended from a friend and was the perfect choice. From the moment I arrived at Salon Blue, I loved the ultra cool, laid-back feel of the salon. The staff was extremely professional, accommodating and friendly. From the shampoo (which felt amazing) to the consultation and haircut with Katrina, I was overwhelmed with my experience. Katrina took time to listen to my hair tale of woo and she gave me the exact cut that I wanted and helped me pick out some great Bumble and Bumble products to ensure it would look great when I styled it. It was fantastic!! I am very happy with my choice to trust Salon Blue with my hair. I will be going back to get some more services and will be referring my friends and family.

Great at coloring!. I had Yvonne highlight my hair yesterday and she did a really great job! I have really dark brown, almost black hair and had never highlighted it before. She sat down with me before she started and talked about different color options and gave me some suggestions for my hair type/color. It ended up looking really natural and now I want more highlights! I would highly suggest going to her for any highlights or coloring it turned out great.

The whole staff is really friendly, I had about 15 minutes before my appointment started when I got there so I got an eyebrow wax and they did a great job on that as well. I will definitely go back!
