Ruth's Chris is a great throwback option for an extra large martini and an extra large shrimp cocktail - all things notable Chicago.
Anytime I get a chance!!!. My absolute FAVORITE!!! I go anytime I get a chance!! If you haven't gone you are missing out!! Must try!!!
Valentines Day Date!. My first experience at Ruth's Chris and I was blown away! I can not wait to go back!
I Love Ruth's Chris Steak Damn Girl those Plates are HOTT!. My 1st Ruth's experience was in Louisville, Ky on top of a building. I was blown away by the food and atmosphere. So when I finally went to the one in Chicago I was like how can this one top Louisville being here on Dearborn St? Well it did maybe even surpassed in service! Same 500 degree plate with delectable aged steak sizzling on top! Being in the VIP Concierge Business I have hit them all around the River North area and Ruth's is right there on top. Fantastic service from the time I walked in the door! Well worth the money and well worth having a meal! I'll be back and will send many customers Ruth's way!
"I smell meat!. My Friend and I went to Ruth's Chris by accident. We were just out walking and having a good time and he said "I smell meat! I'm hungry follow me" So off we go in seach of the wonderful smells. We found ourselves in the doors of an amazing place. We were ushered right in to the bar to await our table. We waited no more than 15 minutes. We had the lamb chops and prime rib. This was the most memorable meal for both of us. We both recommend Ruth's Chris to anyone who wants to experience a true dining experience. ENJOY!
Very Good food..but pricey. On my first visit to Chicago, I decided to eat at places that would make the event memorable. The friendly coat and hat check attendant started the great service that extended to the waiters, bus boys, servers and maitre' d. The dining experience was upscale, but the patrons and staffs were not snobbish. My waitress made excellent suggestions for me: creole style barbeque shrimp,, stuffed lobster, sweet potato casserole, cesar salad were served with a mineral water called Panna. Everything delicious, hot fresh. The servers never allow your drinks to be low and are super attentive. One draw back fo me is that everything on the menu is served a la carte, so you kind of have to know how to build your meal based on all the choices ( something I am not particulary good at)
Sophisticated American chain serves up corn-fed USDA prime cuts and New Orleans-style appetizers and sides..
In Short
This offshoot of a popular New Orleans hangout for politicians features decor of dark woods and comfortable booths, with a separate bar scene. Choice cuts of custom-aged beef arrive in sizzling butter on 500-degree plates. The menu also offers chicken, pork and seafood entrees along with Creole appetizers like shrimp remoulade. Family-style sides include gargantuan onion rings, creamed spinach and various styles of potatoes. Traditional homemade desserts like cheesecake and bread pudding conclude the meal.
Steak for people who don't even like steak. I am not a steak person. I don't eat it at home. I don't generally want it or like it. But wow, I will eat steak at a place like this. My experience at this Ruth's Chris was luxurious, indulgent, and worth every penny. I had the ribeye and it was fantastic. The sweet potato side dish was scrumptious, and the key lime pie dessert huge and creamy. I'd definitely go back!
Wonderful Steaks, great customer service, highly recommended!!!. I took my husband to Ruth's Chris in Chicago for his birthday with a group of 6. Most of us had never been there before. We had 9:00 reservations but they were able to get us in at 7:30 which worked out better for us since we had more activities planned for the evening. The food was wonderful. The whole group of us ordered steaks and chicken and every meal turned out just perfect. Our waiter Andy was top notch. All his suggestions proved to be the very best. We all couldn't rave more about the service and food. Andy was even able to accomodate our evening plans by getting us to the head of the line at the dualing piano bar Howl at the Moon that is right next door! We will definitly be going back the next time we go to Chicago. This is a must try resturant. You won't be disappointed.
Hyped up steakhouse!!!!. Ruths Chris is hyped up and i expected too much and they did not deliver.I ordered a well done steak and they brought me a steak close to rare, other than that i gotta say the food is decent but there is better steakhouses in town than Ruth's Chris.service is ok.And people invest in better seating chairs for your customers, they felt like they were gonna break any second and no iam not fat or heavy.
Best of the best!!!!. This is absoulutly the best place in town by far.....I know R/C is famous for their steaks but the seafood (Crablegs) and appetizers are to die for!!! The wait staff definetly make sure you are well taken care of. And don't get me started on there mixed drinks if you like martinis try the pomerganite awesome..I have to say this is the best resturant I've been to in a long time I would definetly recommend this place to anyone visiting our city !!!!!!!!! Please don't forget to try dessert you'll regret it !!!!
