Rock Bottom Brewery. Wow, I went here a couple times. each time after work with some friends. The good thing I must admit is the service. The staff was nice and very cordial. Everything else was atrocious. we went to "the roof" and there must have been a thousand people up there. we could barely stand in one spot without being in someone’s way. The drinks were way over priced & served in plastic 6 oz cups.

I ordered margaritas and they were more like kool aid with a shot of rum. The food was even worse. I would have complained but there were so many people in the place, finding a manager or someone who looked like they were in charge would have been a task that I was not prepared for. I don’t even know how the fire dept allows such a thing. I spent 65 dollars in less than 30 minutes and really , I felt jipped.

Personally, I don’t see what makes this place so great. I guess Chicagoans must not get out that often or have that many cool places to go because this is one dirty crowded hole in the wall that gets an F in my book. I will not return and not recommend this place to anyone.

Cool atmosphere, love the roof-top deck. This is a great place to go for after work drinks. On a nice day, Head up to the roof and have a drink at the rooftop bar. They have a solid and diverse offering of self-brewed beers. The menu is also solid. I love the wings, but avoid the salmon fish & chips. The downside is that it's pricey, but what can you expect from a chain brewery located in downtown chicago. If you want cheap drinks, head down the street to one of the many hole-in-the-wall bars.

Over Priced!!!. Having lived in NYC for years I'm no stranger to over priced drinks but this place is ridiculous! It's a local happy hour restaurant with bar food yet the mixed drinks are priced as if you are at a 5 star celeb hangout. Give me a break. I will never go back!!!

Just the right place. what a great time we had! we stumbled on the bar after dinner on a saturday evening, so we had a few drinks and had a great time. the next day we were planning on going to espn zone to watch the jets game and they weren't playing the game! so we went right back to rock bottom to watch football... wings were delish!

A casual brew pub with great beer, a collegiate atmosphere, and an alluring rooftop deck.. In Short
This spacious restaurant's college feel is magnified by pool tables, young, denim-clad servers, and beer posters you might see in a dorm room. The menu offers plenty of good brewpub fare: Ribs and chicken are smoky and tangy, with a serious kick. Fragrant with beer, brown ale chicken has mushrooms and strips of chicken layered over white cheddar mashed potatoes. Beers are all brewed on-site, and range from Chicago Gold to Terminal Stout.
