“It's got great ambiance & atmosphere - nicely lit, casual & not too crowded for a more personal experience.”
“Not to mention a great chocolate martini and spunky ice cream sandwiches for dessert.”
“The bar is well stocked with good wine choices & the martini menu is a fan fave.”
“The food is great and the waitstaff is uniformly well educated in the menu and the short but thoughtful wine list (and if you show an interest in the pricier or more interesting stuff, they'll bring out the "secret" Captain's List of wines, which is where”
“My NY Strip was excellent, and the parmesan crust (Wildfire's trademark is their interesting seasoned bread crumb crusts--6 varieties) gave it an added flavor unlike i'd ever had before.”
“My favorite comfort food restaurant”
“For me personally, I will go back again for one of the best steaks I've ever had.”
“very good service-get there early as it gets very busy quickly.”
“The grilled chicken and mushroom skewers and the huge porterhouse steak were outstanding as well.”
“But here in Chicago, I have had the best meal I can remember in a long time (other than Bravo, an Italian restaurant in Clevelands South Suburbs) The blue-cheese crusted steak was cooked to perfection--at an actual by-the-book medium temperature with a pe”
very nice. I was very pleased with the food, atmosphere and price of this restaurant. We went on a Saturday night and the service was great too. A short wait with reservations and we got a booth overlooking the main crowd. The wall to wall mirrors make the place seem huge and uncrowded. I've tried Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille, etc., but Wildfire is untouchable for value
good food. Food always consistent and delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful with menu selections. Has Great selection of wines and is a great place to hang for Martini's!
ROMANCE!!!!!. We were here in October of 2003, and had the best possible experience of our lives at Wildfire! We are a newly re-united couple after 26 years of being apart and are more in love than we can even believe. Our dinner at Wildfire was one we will never forget! From the wonderful table they gave us to the spectacular food we ate and the great service we received it was just a wonderful experience! I will reccommend them to everyone and will come back as often as we can!! We were made to feel like royalty!
wild on wildfire. very pleased with the food at wildfire. ribs were great as was the house salad (served for 2). the creamed spinach is as good as berghoff's and the potatoes with vermont cheddar were decadent. not inexpensive but worthwhile. very good service-get there early as it gets very busy quickly.
Swank, Sweet and Swift. Wildfire is a big room, teeming with people and they look happy -- for good reason. I like the "buzzy" feel without having to push my way through the crowd, and appreciate the professional, friendly and efficient wait and hosting staff -- the crowds verge on Great America proportions but you always feel like an individual customer and the service matches the (not cheap) prices. The food is great and the waitstaff is uniformly well educated in the menu and the short but thoughtful wine list (and if you show an interest in the pricier or more interesting stuff, they'll bring out the "secret" Captain's List of wines, which is where you'll find your best bets). One caveat is the use of "crusts" on the steaks, which I find to be overkill and moreover unnecessary -- no need to complement the fantastic flavor of the top-notch beef served at Wildfire.
Fantastic!. This is one of the best restaurants around. It's consistently good, the food is well-prepared, and the atmosphere's a lot of fun. My only complaint: it's now WAY too popular/hard to get into!
Superb steakhouse experience. The atmosphere was alright, the service was decent, but the steaks were absolutely delightful. I do not claim to be a steak expert, but at the very least, they were better than Morton's. They were succulent, tender, tasty, and cooked just right. My friends loved it, as well. I would highly recommend eating there.
flare for filets. Excellent service, excellent atmosphere and excellent food! The best filet mignon I have ever had. Paired with the creamed spinich and mashed potatoes (I shared with my husband) my taste buds couldn't have been happier. Not to mention a great chocolate martini and spunky ice cream sandwiches for dessert. Simply wonderful!!
Great food. All around best restaurant within 50 miles of the Loop. Would recommend to anyone searching for amazing "normal" food. With traditional dishes from Chicken to Seafood all will be pleased.
AMAZING!!!. As I first time Wildfire go-er, I am in love with my experience. The food was unbelievable, the service was top notch, and I plan on coming again and again. From the goat cheese appetizer to the horseradish steak to the german chocolate dessert it was truly an amazing meal! A+
