Very Unprofessional!. When scheduling my appointment for a Beta Peel I asked if it was compatible with the topical Retinol I am taking. After scheduling my appointment the front desk person said she would have an estitition call me back with the answer. No one called back and I, assuming there wasn't an issue, showed up the next day for my 10am appointment. However, I did not have an appointment!

The front desk person (after calling the estitition) said that someone had called me, telling me NOT TO COME because I am taking Retinol.

What gets me is that this is a LIE, no one called me. (Note: they have the correct phone number to call). Someone is covering their butt and this is very unprofessional . It would have been so easy to simply call the person if you cannot do the service and if you are going to cancel their appointment. I wasted a Sunday morning and, adding insult to injury, I was lied to. The experience makes me question the competence of the people working there.

Beware.... I had the airbrush tanning done at TKI. I was extremely disappointed with the "tan", as well as the customer service. The visit started out OK, the receptionist was nice and the locker room was cramped (really not top spa quality), but clean. The technician who performed the airbrush tanning service was very cold, uninformative and I think she really just didn't even try to do a good job. On top of that, the room it was done in gave me the feeling of being trapped in an old dungeon locker room. Once the tan started to set (it takes 8 hours), I realized that she had done a horrible job. The areas around my hands, ankles and feet looked awful - by awful I mean parts of them looked tan and then parts were completely pale - it literally looked like someone drew lines in certain areas where the tan ended and the pale began. The tan on most of my body was also uneven. I called the spa about 7 hours after my appt. and left a message for a manager calmly explaining my issue and asking that she please return my call. I also left my name, appt. time, and phone #. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK from anyone at the salon. I was so upset that I called again about a week later and spoke to a receptionist, told her the situation and was put on hold while she looked for the manager who she "couldn't find". She asked if I'd like to leave another voicemail to which I said no. According to the reviews, some people have had great experiences at TKI. I'm sure they have some very good technicians, but know they also have some bad ones. If you've never been to TKI, and are imagining a posh, up-scale spa, I think you will be let down - their facilities leave a lot to be desired and their customer service is, well, non-existent in my experience. If you do decide to go to , a few guidelines: DON'T get the airbrush tanning, DON'T have high expectations and DON'T have any issues requiring customer service and it'll work out fine.

LOVED IT!!!!!. I went for my very 1st professional spa service, with a large group from our company. It was during the Xmas season. My appointment was 1st thing one Saturday morning and it was absolutely wonderful and no waiting! I had the 60 minute stone massage and I nearly fell asleep. The front desk was courteous and the staff was friendly.

Nice quiet location in the Loop. I would recommend a half day, to start your weekend.

I love Vieve!. Every year, my friends and I get together to do a "Spa Christmas" instead of buying each other gifts. Last weekend, ON A SUNDAY!!! We went to see Genevieve for facials. OK first of all, the Spa is beautiful, secondly everything was on time and third of all... I love the steam room!

The three of us spent a half day there reading, or should I say sleeping in the "Place of Peace", STEAMING in the steam room and the cleansing our faces with Genevieve.

Genevieve is not only educated,but has hands like no other. We all agreed we felt like Clean, fluffy marshmallows at the end of the day and decided against shopping for Christmas and went straight home to drink water and relax some more.

Why not? We already started the day that way!

Highly Recommened!!!. If you need a "real" facial you need to go to Vieve at Tiffany Kim Institute. She's so talented. I felt like a marshmallow after my facial. She also arched my eyebrows and I've never had so many compliments. Make me wonder how bad of a job I was doing on my own :-(

paradise. My job does not give me too much time to relax or to pamper myself. My co-workers recently gave me a gift certificate to Tiffani Kim Institute for a full day of treatments. I walked in and instantly, I was greeted with friendly front desk. They showed me to a room where I could relax with a cup of tea. My massage, facial, manicure and pedicure were done by nurturing ladies that just pampered me throughout the day. This place is a paradise in an urban city. I would recommend it highly.

Worst Spa Ever. I will never recommend this spa to anyone ever! I received the worst customer service, was embarrased by the staff, felt terribly self conscience after that and couldn't enjoy my massage. I will never go here again and will make it my goal to let anyone and everyone that this spa is awful... I hope they go under someday!

mediocre. Not impressed w/ cleanliness. Manicure was mediocre. Brazilian bikini wax not really brazilian. Seem to have lots of "trainees" I've been to much better spas.

NO NEED FOR MEN. MEN ARE NOT WELCOME IN THIS SPA. JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE MENS ROOM. UNCLEAN AND SMALL. THE FRONT DESK NEEDS SOME MANNERS. NO MORE NOSE IN THE AIR. PLEASE SMILE TO YOUR GUESTS.
