Editorial Review for Dublin's Pub – by Karla Zimmerman
The Scene
The dark-wood, U-shaped bar in the middle dominates the cozy room; tables decked in white linen and candles fill nearly every remaining inch. Twinkling green lights stripe the low ceiling, creating a warm, cheery vibe. All sorts of people--older, overcoated businessmen, families with children, hand-holding couples and residents of nearby high-rise condos--eat and drink here. The jukebox sends out mellow-volume classics by U2, Nirvana and Fleetwood Mac, while TVs play unobtrusively from the corners.
The Draw
Dublin's is relaxed yet classy, and eminently reliable--it's open 365 days a year until 4am. Chefs in fluffy hats cook over an open grill straight through to the wee hours; loyal patrons swear by the soups, steak and chicken dishes. Tie-wearing bartenders pull quality domestic beers (Goose Island, Sam Adams) and imports (Newcastle, Guinness) from the tap, plus drams from the expansive whiskey selection.

I've lived above this joint for two years. I order there on a regular basis, and would not complain about the food. I have never had a problem with a dish there in the two years me and my husband have been going there. I used to go there late night for food before going home, or stopping in for one last drink before heading home. The crowd is always a weird show-mostly I think because of the location. I never bat an eye with anything I see there, because it seems that I've seen just about everything. I must say, that I don't go there friday or saturday nights to drink, but it does get quite crowded. Needless to say, I do love this place-and their food for a pub is very good.
Pros: good food, fun atmosphere, weird scene
Cons: sometimes overcrowded and loud

Burger was over cooked, server was short with our table and we were over charged for our dinner. I live less than a block away and there are so many places to eat in chicago I would never go back to this one.
