Editorial Review for Bar Louie – by Sarah Preston
The Scene
Despite the colorful mosaic tile sign out front (a theme carried throughout the bar) this place is easily overlooked. Enter the narrow, dimly lit space and get hit by the powerful smell of bar food and beer. During the week, urban professionals pour in to spend lengthy lunch hours schmoozing. The eat-at bar gets extra cozy, so come early or prepare to stand by the door and wait for a seat.
The Draw
After midnight on the weekends, young cosmo-sipping ladies settle in with a smile, chatting with their Guinness-guzzling male counterparts. Specialty sandwiches come highly recommended; try the Caesar, made with grilled chicken, onions, lettuce, Parmesan cheese and Caesar dressing. Other tasty sandwiches on the menu include the Luigi and Vesuvio melt, both heavily seasoned and arrive dripping with grease.

Unfortunately, my experience at Bar Louie has been less then perfect. The staff acted like they were doing me a favor by seating me after a 15 minute wait. The food was good but pricey. I felt like I wasn't important enough to be there.
