“Although we were a bit crowded in the upstairs dining room, the food was excellent and the service better than average until the desserts and after dinner coffee arrived.”

Classic, old school, and always a treat. Be sure your wallet is full and your stomach will thank you!
I have dined at Chop House, Morton's, Smith's, Capitol, and every other steakhouse in our town. None compare to Gene & Georgetti's. Dinner comes with salad, but don't miss the Garbage Salad. It's got meats and cheeses, topped with jump shrimp. The house oil and vinegar dressing is one of he best. Writing this is making me want to go right now! They have excellent spumoni for dessert..
Great steak place in Chicago history-- and that's saying a lot! While many others have "chained out", G&G's has stayed real. Family feel, with appropriate elegance, this is the steak place for those who want the REAL thing and not the highly marketed, franchised cliche. Great pasta and fish but it is the gigantic steaks you really want. They KNOW what rare actually is. They have a robust if not extensive wine selection and great old-school service. If you are lucky enough to be seated downstairs in the front room, you'll know what it feels like to be a big wheel in the City of Big Shoulders.
My absolute favorite Italian/Steakhouse restaurant in Chicago. I recommend the Spaghetti & Meatballs. The Porter House Steak was also very delicious. I love everything about this place. Definitely worth checking out.
One of my favorite Italian/Steak houses in the city, with a great old school feel. Walk in and feel like you have been warped to the 1950s, where time doesn't matter. Waiter was so friendly and made my experience that much better! The steak was prepared with the best seasonings and cooked exactly the way you want it.
Can't say good enough things about the ribeyes, strip steaks, & mussels marinara; UNBELIEVABLE. You could just eat mussels, bread, have drinks and go home fat and happy. The wait staff is spot-on the hardest working crew and attentive to no end. Love you guys.
Wonderful service and food. Very nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
A long time favorite of mine. The male servers are so cute, and professional. The food is very good! I love the past and steak. Could a girl ask for anything more?
We ordered onion rings and the plate was huge! They were very good and not too heavily fried. We all ordered our steaks, my friend and I got salads also, and my dad ordered the minstrone soup. The steaks are definitely not small, but I ate all of it! The meat was so tender. Everything tasted amazing!
