Grand Place

by Uncle Big Guy

Hate to leave this bar can't wait to comeback. This is the quintessential 'Chicago Irish Pub". Great selection of beers to go with a little lively conversation. Thursday nights is like walking into a women's prison....all the gals are 'friendly' and approachable.....by a shot for a Lass and your in....strike up a conversation with a former St. Patrick's Day Queen, or one of the girls from the neighborhood. Owner is a great guy....he will know you by name after one visit.

  • Pros: Friendly bartenders and wait staff. handsome patrons
  • Cons: Ownser is a bad kisser

Love it.

I love hanging out here whenever I get a chance. The food is not memorable, but the atmosphere is unbeatable. There is just something to the place that makes you feel right at home. Never been during the week, only Saturdays, and it's been both super crowded and very mellow. Great staff has fun and took great care of us. Must check it out!

  • Pros: Staff, Atmosphere, Beer Selection
  • Cons: Bar Food, Sometimes too hot, Music

Nice Place

by johnthompson

I stumbled upon this while before having dinner at Thyme (which is across the street) and was very impressed. My date and I had a few drinks before our dinner, and then came back for a nightcap. They had a great crowd and we had a great time. Two thumbs up!

  • Pros: Good Crowd, Comfortable, Great Employees
  • Cons: A Little Hot, Outside a bit rundown, No parking
