Don't even pretend you're not gonna stuff yourself silly here. Go Chicago-style (I love the sausage-topped version) and regret nothing.

Gino's East offers the deepest pizza, with heavy sauce and ingredients. It's like the Mona Lisa of Chicago pizzas and taste incredible. Bring the family and friends - no one will talk until the meal is done because you will be in love with each bite. Absolutely incredible.

I was recently visiting Chicago with my boyfriend for the weekend. We has seen your pizzeria on Man v. Food and were excited to eat there. It was my last day in Chicago, and it was lunch time. We had about three hours left until the cab was to come to pick us up at our hotel to take us to the airport. We were all the way on the South Side of Chicago at the Museum of Science and Industry and caught the next bus to get to a train to take us 6 or so blocks away from Gino\'s which we\'d have to walk. It takes around an hour to get from point A to point B. We were behind schedule and had around 15-20 minutes left to walk to get to Gino\'s (plus the time it takes to sit down and order, plus the time it takes to make a pizza 45 min) we were going to cut it really close with getting back to the hotel on time. So with that being said I called the restaurant and asked them if they could put in the pizza before we got there so it would be almost ready by the time we got there and we could have time to enjoy it and not miss our cab. The girl on the other end (whose name was Ashley I beleive) said they had a large party and weren\'t able to take my order but they normally do take orders ahead of time. I said thats fine and sadly hung up. Normally I would be okay with that and if I had time would have ordered when I got there but I was running out of time. I really wanted this pizza so I called right back and explained that this was my first time in Chicago and I was catching a plane soon and I really would like to eat there and if they could please put in the pizza so I could eat there, I can be there in 20 minutes. The girl on the other line said hold on let me ask my manager. A minute goes by and she comes back and says that her manager said \'no\'. I said \'wow, okay, that is very unprofessional of an establishment, I\'ll find somewhere else to eat thanks\' and hung up. I was flabbergasted when she told me \'no\'. How can you run an establishment and turn down first time customers? It\'s completely unacceptable. Regardless if you had one large party during lunch, there is no difference between taking my order over the phone 20 minutes prior to stepping foot in the establishment or taking my order at the establishment and sticking the pizza in the oven other than the difference of 20 minutes. That 20 minutes made all the difference, and they turned down a first time customer that will never be a customer. A reasonable establishment that cared about their customers would have gladly taken my order. It was very saddening that a nationaly known establishment would turn down a first time customer in their hometown or Chicago.

Corporate said they would 'look into the situation.' A month later... still nothing.

WORST DECISION EVER!. traveled to Chicago during a business trip in September. We decided to eat at Ginos to experience Chicago pizza. WORST DECISION EVER!! 2 of my colleagues and I split the deep dish meat lovers pizza & antipasto salad and we all got food poisoning. I was the worst out of the 3 of us. I was so sick I missed my last day of training and had to change my flight to the following day; spending the last day of my trip deathly ill in a hotel room. It was horrible! DO NOT go to this restaurant!!!

Everyone is right. Everyone is right about Gino's pizza. It has an unusual crust, with some cornmeal as part of the recipe. Most people just rave. However, there is no getting around the crust bit. If you dont like the heavy cornmeal crust this is just so-so. However, if you like the crust this is one amazing pie. The sausage patty version is a signature item. The stuffed spinach and mushroom is great. I love their pies.

Once a year not enough. Crazy awesome deep dish pizza (I usually hate deep dish, but theirs is soooooo scrumptious.) Crazy graphitti interior, super fun hangout place. Go here every where when I'm up in Chicago visiting family. What a cool place. If you are in Chicago for a visit, whatever you do go to a cubs a game, get a chicago hot dog and go to Gino's

Best Pizza in Chi-Town. I've been eating Gino's and other Chi-Town Pizza's for pretty much 2 decades and Gino's is the best. If you haven't had it try it.

Good Memories. I've been a fan of Gino's East since I was in high school making trips to the restaurant (in its old location) and writing my name where ever I could. So maybe it's the nostalgia that keeps bringing me back...or maybe it's the pizza. Out of all the other famous Chicago deep dish pizza joints, this is still my favorite. I love the sausage where you get a mouthful in every bite due to the rolled out sausage patty that COMPLETELY covers the pie. One slice is enough for me...which is a good thing because the leftovers are just as good as the original!
