The Scene – Unlike many of the self-conscious, goofy neighbors around Division Street, its lacquered wood and hunting lodge concept is comforting more than obnoxious. There are some elbow-high tables and stools around the perimeter, but whenever possible, belly up to the carved oak bar for baskets of Winchester peanuts. There are around 20 beers on tap, including Tetley's, Foster's and Harp. – – The Draw – While you won't find too many youngsters, especially during the day, there's often a wide array of customers downing drinks. A Chicago Classic

by hkygrl at Citysearch

The Lodge has been around for something like 30 years and is amazingly tucked into Division Street - probably the most uninteresting area in Chicago. But, this bar is and will always be my favorite - the juke box cranks out oldies that all the drunks belt out late at night. It's almost always packed and believe it or not, you'll probably see tons of celebrities and athletes hanging out. I love the peanuts and the atmosphere. It's a late closer - awesome!

It's like a secret jewel.

  • Pros: awesome atmosphere, great people, great bar
  • Cons: parking
