Great stylist!

I've gone to Ashley Jensen, currently of Joseph Michael's Salon and Spa, for years for haircuts and eyebrow help, as well as ocassionally for highlights, and I've never had a more satisfying experience. She's friendly, she asks questions to find out what you want, and she does exactly what you're asking for, but it turns out even better than what you thought it would! I would recommend her to anyone looking to be completely satisfied and confident about the way they look after having gone to her.

• Pros: best haircut in town
• Cons: gotta be in the Chicago area to take advantage of

I've been going to Neung at Joseph Michael's for my manicures and pedicures for over 3 years now and am pleased to write that she gives me the best nail service I've ever received. I always feel so welcome when I walk in the door at Joseph Michael's; I live in the neighborhood and appreciate that the staff and atmosphere is laid back and non-pretentious. In addition to doing the best manicures around, Neung is also one of the sweetest and kindest people I've ever met. Once she gave me her umbrella on a rainy day so I didn't get wet walking back to work after my lunch hour mani! She always goes the extra mile so I don't mind paying a bit more for such excellent service. I'm extremeley picky and detail-orientated when it comes to my appearance so it takes a lot to please me- that being said I highly recommend Joseph Michael's!

Very good...no...Excellent, haircuts, color and blowouts

For many years I have worked with my stylist, Amy, who is skilled in her profession, friendly to all, customers and coworkers alike. As soon as I began going to her, I stayed!! I have never been dissatisfied with her results, but always feel great with a new haircut or highlights that she has done for me. Lately I have also worked with Edwin, who is a new stylist, but well on the way to becoming also one of the best.

The front desk, on the phone, or in person, are unfailingly polite and that means a great deal>

• Pros: Consistency in delivery of service, all employees courteous
• Cons: Hair care is a bit expensive, but a priority in my budget
