worth the trip to bolingbrook

I tried this bingo hall out several years ago. My first night there I had a lot of fun and its not crazy packed like joliet bingos where you have to get there super early to get a seat . I did not bingo that first night, but i have gotten plenty of bingos since then. I live in channahon which is about 19 miles from this bingo hall, we love to go to dennys over there so we decided to try the hall, my first night there they were selling a new pull tab and were not able to sell out the whole box, which happens at a lot of places, so they have you sign your name and phone number next to the number you are holding onto. I got a phone call after the next bingo session where they sold the rest and was told i was the winner of 500 dollars! I continue to go to this hall because the workers are alot of fun and i always have a good time, i dont win everytime i go, but thats why its called gambling. I think people should go and check this hall out for themselves and they will see how much fun it is and get the nachos by the way!

Completely underhanded

I just got home from First Class Bingo and Raffle in Bollingbrook, Illinois. I cannot even begin to tell you how underhanded this place is. I have attended this bingo hall for nine years attempting to work around the underhandedness that goes on. I have gotten to the point of letting alot of things go because you never get anywhere complaining to the guy who owns the hall. Tonight I was there and they sold the Fast Five pull tab. It is a very popular pulltab and usually sells out very quickly. I think there are like a thousand tickets sold and only one ticket wins. I had gotten two chances to win which is a twenty percent chance of winning the five hundred dollar prize. They called the winning number which was ticket number 15. Well I thought I lost. Well, all of a sudden the person who called it realized he called the wrong card which had a different serial number. The owner of the hall decided to just go with that number even though the serial number of the ticket she had doesn't match up with the serial number of the box. He said just switch the cards and use the other card for the other box called. You cannot do that. It has to match up with the serial number. That is illegal. I am contacting the state tomorrow about it. He said I was just a sore loser. He tells me that it is still a random chance. When they call the number they have two choices of which tab they are going to pick. Out of those two would be the winner. Well, I am damn sure that the next box doesn't have exactly the same two choices as the last one. Why am I so upset about it. I spent a hundred and fourty dollars to find out they screwed up and I end paying for it. That is completely underhanded. I don't blame the woman that won even though she actually didn't have the ticket with the right serial number. The owner is who I blame. The owner of the bingo hall is not suppose to make decisions for the charity. He is not a member of the charity. He and his employees are not to handle the money of the charity, but they do all the time. I am no longer patroning this business. After nine years I am done with the underhandedness that goes on all the time. I do like the people that play here. I do like some of the employees. I absolutely will not put up with a place that switches things over there own mistake. They should have thrown out that box that would have been useless. No, they decided to screw the customers over and still use the other box for their convenience. I am going to warn everyone to stay away from this hall. I have learned the hard way how underhanded the place is. All they care about is the almighty dollar. The charities don't care if people get screwed over as long as their charity makes money. It is sad that people have to get abused in order for charities to make money. The owner of the hall pretty much runs the place. He doesn't merely lease the place to the charities which is illegal in Illinois. I am going to check with the state about how things are run there. How serial numbers are not matching up on things. I am apalled at how the charity and the owner of the hall decided to handle things this evening. Their reasoning isn't even logical. They actually think people are stupid. They think people are so gullible to be manipulated into being ok with switching boxes and serial numbers cuz in the owners opinion it's still random. Well, I have never seen such randomness between two boxes being switched and the same number coming up. The odds of that happening would be astronomical. Of course the owner doesn't give a crap cuz he didn't buy any. I mean enough is enough. You can't do this to people and expect people to just overlook it. Well, I have had my say and feel good about no longer giving them my money. If they keep it up they will just keep losing big money players. I spend alot of money when I go on bingo and pulltabs. I know it probably won't hurt their bottom line much.

Really Disappointed

I have attended this bingo hall with my husband and we were there tonite. We could not believe how slow the caller was on Thursday. I was told he heads the baseball charity. Every time we have gone on Thursdays he is so slow. Everything takes him forever to do. He doesn't pay attention to what he is doing. And every time he stops to talk to someone he gets distracted and the hall is waiting for him to realize he hasn't called the ball yet. I am really getting sick of the callers they have. I am going to try Saturday nights now. I am done with Thursdays after tonite. I mean you pay like 70 bucks to play on Thursday and once they have your money they call the way they want instead of the way they are suppose to. They are suppose to call according to the timer. Countless times it is past the timer beeping up there and they are doing something else or talking to someone. We will see how it goes on another night.

Another night of hell

I have been coming here for about 3 months now. I am going to start going elsewhere. I can't believe how people are treated here. I am paying my hard earned money to come and play. It costs me about a hundred to two hundred a night to play here depending on the night and what pull tabs they sell. Some workers are nice and some are really obnoxious and rude. I was there last night and did not like how the hall decided to put the five hundred dollars on the thousand dollar prize on the end. I bought the grand emeralds pull tabs and didn't think that was right. They should have called another number instead of letting the player who wins the prize get another five hundred dollars. I don't think they are suppose to take the money from a pulltab and make it part of bingo. There is something wrong with that. I agree with the other reviewer that minors should not be in the hall when bingo is going on. I usually come on the weekend nights and it is always some problem they are having where things are delayed.

And I am sick of people fighting over the numbers on the machines. I have been pushed aside at times because somebody wanted a certain number on a machine. The ladys get really bad about it. They will harass you over a stupid machine. A machine is a machine. I don't think one machine is better than another machine. i am just sick of being in line and some of the ladys are bugging you over what machine they want.

Shocking to say the least.

I just came home on Saturday, August 13th, 2011. I am shocked at how badly I was treated tonite by the Knights of Columbus. The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic orginization that raises money for it's charity on Saturday nights at First Class Bingo and Raffle. First the computers here are so screwed up and apparently outdated that they are not reliable. The computers are numbered and they are skipping numbers and you never know what you are going to get. I have played here for years and found it all comes down to having the right computer. Some computers you will get and from the get go you find out you are never going to have a chance of winning no matter what you do. Right away I can tell if it is a good computer or a bad computer. And yes most of the computers are crap. All night you will be three numbers away and don't have a chance. One time I had a computer after 62 numbers and I still needed 6 numbers. I was like are you kidding me. I always get there triple package which starts at 60.00. That doesn't even inclue the specials. I have dealt with this worker Bob before and he always just throws his hands up and claims he has nothing to do with anything when there is a problem. Then this lady tonite bought pulltabls and won 500.00. she wasn't even playing bingo at all,. i found out she was the wife of oe of the Knights of columbus workers. I don't think that is right. Well people complained so they took the 500 she won after she gave it back trying to act like she was the victim. and added it to the 1000.00 prize at the end of the night. Well they did not give the 1500.00 winner a tax form. She is suppose to pay taxes on that. Then the worker Bob accused me of doing the same thing this woman did and said that I came there and just played pull tabs and didn't play bingo. I told him that wasn't true. I asked him when I did that and he all of a sudden couldn't recall exactly. Yeah how convenient. Then on top of all of this there was a minor playing bingo in the hall and won. Frank the worker asked for her Id and she said she didn't have it and he let it go. It was obvious the girl is not 18. It is illegal to allow minors in the bingo hall period. i have witnessed minors in there before usually sitting with the adults playing but this time this girl was acutally playing and won a prize. I told the charity tonite this is my last night officially playing here. I will no longer patron there charity at all. There is no consistency at this place. Every night they are open there is some problem. And why have two smoke breaks. I am relieved to be done with Saturday nights. I will not be disrespected by an idiot like Bob and patron there charity. And I don't appreciate the lady who runs the hall with Harland yelling that people can come in the hall and play pull tabs without playing bingo. I actually bought a 20.00 coupon card to support her sons football thing and than she yells at us about talking about the lady who played and won without playing bingo. We weren't even talking about what she was yelling at people for. This place will jump all over you for discussing anything about the place. If they don't like what you are saying they will give you the riot act. They lost me as a customer. I spent a lot of money at this place. The only way you can teach a place to not disrespect you any longer is to not patron it any longer. The charities at this place don't appreciate the money they make off of us bingo players. It is obvious. And the Saturday night group is by far the worst. I like the lady who runs it with Harland but I will no longer be disrespected and her backing them up.
