Horrible, Not worth the stress for any bride

Horrible experience. They are only nice to you to get you to buy a dress. Once they have you, forget it. Worst ever. I am not a picky person, but this experience was really bad. I am a professional and these people are not. The owner is not pleasant at all. Not the way we do business in America. I hope the future brides will reconsider before dropping their money at Eva’s in Oak Lawn. I had a tearful experience and do not wish that upon anybody. My friends had the same experience so please be aware of this place.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! EVA'S IS HORRIBLE!!

You would think since I got married in 1988 and got Terrible service and was treated horribly that Eva's would've changed! NOPE!!

My only daughter is getting married in January and had the same HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE that I had 23 years ago!!

I finally told my daughter that I would pay extra money just so she'd GO SOMEWHERE ELSE so that she can have a Beautiful experience and not make her wedding dress and bridesmaid's dress shopping a horrible time for her!

Eva's is NOT PERSONAL at all!! The staff is RUDE (I'm sure there may be an exception here and there) but I haven't met her. They do NOT let you shop for your dress. They bring what THEY THINK fits the description you give them in the dressing room to you and only a couple at a time and I do mean a COUPLE!!

I wish this place would CLOSE DOWN already! Stop giving brides such a horrible time!! You must purchase your dress from Eva's or they will NOT sell you a veil or wedding merchandise and I'm sure that's because of the MARK UP on the bridal gowns!

They cost a Fortune!! Very Impersonal! Customer service is Aweful to deal with! I wouldn't have given them ONE STAR but I had no choice!

BRIDES...Do yourself a favor and SHOPE ELSEWHERE!!! Your Bridal gown experience should be as Beautiful as your wedding day!

Bridal Stores-hit or miss

I've heard so many horror stories about Eva's Bridals I no longer refer brides there anymore. In truth, all brdal stores mark gowns up between 100 and 200% depending on their location, the wholesale cost of the gown and the commisions paid to sales people. And not every store had properly trained professionals that know the meaning of customer service. If you're a bride on a budget, I recommend a couple of websites: lightinthebox. and romanticgowns Working with a professional seamstress or tailor you can order a gown on line for half the price and work with your seamstress for fittings. Their return policy is flawless as long as you've done NO alterations. Save time, money and aggrivation.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!

Brides, DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! As the fiance of a bride to be who made the unfortunate decision to shop at Eva's Bridal of Oak Lawn, I can tell you that this dump has some of the worst customer service I haver ever witnessed. My fiance was in tears after two visits to Eva's and unfortunately the most recent was after picking up her gown which was not at all like the sample she had tried on. Even though she had pictures showing how different the gown was that she tried on and ordered, they insisted that she "remembered wrong" and were not only unhelpful, but outright mean making disgusted faces at her and actual making snide comments about her to the other sales staff while she was in the dressing room. The old store that burned down was a dump and their new temporary store has a $10 Wal-Mart plastic mirror taped to the wall, what a great and classy setting for a woman to try on a gown that likely cost thousands of dollars. I could not say enough bad things about my fiance's experience here which also became my experience having to deal with the aftermath. Even if you get a slightly better price here, believe me, it is not worth it.

I enjoyed every minute!

I purhcased my gown at Eva's in Oak Lawn and had my last fitting on Thursay night for my wedding November 1. I enjoyed every minute of my experience, from finding the gown to the pricing to my alterations and all in all great service. This store is great. They wouldn't be there for over 40 years, and be so busy, if any of these bad reviews were true and written by real brides.
