In Short – Founded in Beverly Hills in 1985, these eateries with the trademark yellow, black and white color scheme have spread nationwide. The decor consists of simple wood and glass with roomy black leather booths. The thin-crust pizzas come with innovative toppings from Asia, Latin America and the Southwest; signature pizzas like the Original BBQ Chicken and Jamaican Jerk Chicken compete with old standbys like pepperoni and traditional cheese. If you are in Chicago, the home of "Chicago Style Pizza," along with dozens of other great local, thick and thin pizzas, and you find yourself going to a franchised California Pizza Kitchen, like the kind you can find in an Iowa Mall, you need to ask yourself, "What the heck am I thinking?"

Their pizza is really great. I went to the one in the South Coast Plaza and was great. I was really pleased with it. I'm not sure how nice inside this one will be but if worst comes to worst you can always try this - Get a frozen California Pizza Kitchen pizza, they taste really great, i was just as pleased with the frozen one as the one from the restraunt. They don't have many different kinds of toppings to choose from, i'd have to say that the b.b.q. chicken pizza was absolutey delicious. My famiy has 7 kids and the kids loved the pizza (and the paper they gave them with games on it) I would recommend it to anyone!!!
