Downtown Chicago Business Hotel

On a recent business trip I needed accommodations near the magnificent mile. A colleague of mine recommended the Crowne Plaza Avenue Hotel as a nearby option that others have used from the company. On the two nights i was there I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. And the food in the Pub was great! So if you are looking for a nice place, at a reasonable price in downtown Chicago - I would recommend the Avenue Hotel.

We had a family reunion in Chicago and were looking for a place that was close to Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier and all of the wonderful stores and museums that you must see during your stay in Chicago. We found all that and more at The Avenue Hotel Crowne Plaza. The rooms were very large and decorated with taste and style. Everything felt and looked clean and every member of the hotel smiled and said hello when they saw you. Really made it feel homey. Thank you for a great downtown Chicago stay. We'll be back to the Avenue Hotel Crowne Plaza.

Great Value at Avenue Hotel for a hotel in Downtown Chicago

This was not our first visit to the Avenue Crowne Plaza Hotel and certainly won't be our last. My son is attending college in Chicago so we come out to visit him as often as we can. He was the one that told us to check this hotel out as his school had some sort of event at The Avenue that apparently was quite impressive. Everyone is so kind and helpful...smiling and greeting guests..it's so nice to see and hear. The housekeeping team is very gracious and they do an amazing job keeping the rooms and hotel spotless. I commend them as it's not an easy task to keep a busy hotel looking to impeccable. We received the most restful sleep, many of the reviews mention the great beds and they are (I found myself trying to find the manufacturers name as I want one!). Looking forward to coming back again.

Outstanding hotel and great location

I booked this hotel thru the Crowne Plaza website as I'm a points member. Wanted to see the Cubs game and thought the Avenue Hotel in downtown Chicago was the way to go. I was right. Booked the one bedroom suite as it was my wife and small child traveling with me. Wanted lots of room to stretch out and got that in this room. Heck was bigger than my first apartment! Now my wife wants us to buy zebra chairs as they were so comfortable. Not sure zebra print will work in our house, but it certainly works at the Avenue Hotel. The room was well kept - looks like it was recently remodeled and was very clean.

Ordered room service for breakfast and it arrived hot and correct. Both pet peeves of mine! Room service always seems to be cold and wrong, but not here. Thank you!

The beds were really comfortable which helped for a nice restful sleep. hey by the way the reviews about the city noise...I'd like to say the dogs barking in my neighborhood make more noise than I heard at the hotel. The people that make those comments must live in a commune or something!

I really like this place, it's comfortable...not like walking into some of those hotels that make you feel like you can't sit on the furniture (like in grandma's house!). Everyone we encountered was friendly, smiling and very helpful. Unfortunately too helpful sometimes (they pointed out the American Girl store..yikes! didn't know a doll could cost so much!) But the smile on my kids face was worth any price :)

Thank you Avenue Hotel - we'll be back.

Great Hotel and location

This hotel was just amazing! I did a lot of research for my trip to Chicago and the Avenue Hotel Crowne Plaza just kept coming up. The reviews are very favorable to this hotel and I can see why. The employees really take pride in working here, that is apparent with the great service you receive. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Lots of room to move around in and not feel like you are going to run into each other. The fitness center has everything you need to stay fit while away from home...the equipment worked..and it was really clean. So many hotel gyms seems to be lack luster, but not this one. Easy walking distance to all of the shopping and sites. The front desk and conceirge gave us some great suggestions for restaurants and other things to do that are "non touristy".

I will be back to the Crowne Plaza Avenue when visiting Chicago.
