Mall food gets a gourmet makeover! Local finds, cheap wine & $5 sushi on Wednesdays. Ask for brown rice & they'll roll while you wait.

Cheap, quality eats in an expensive neighborhood. Ready for a break from shopping? Stop by the mezzanine level of Water Tower Place for a nice surprise. This high-end food court gives all eaters the option of what they want. Stations include: pasta, stir-fry, comfort food, soup, pizza, thai, juice bar, deserts and more. Meals are around $8. Deserts, soups are cheaper which is great value in this area. My wife had stir-fry, I tried thai. Both were good, both were large portions. Stir-fry line you fill a bowl with veggies you wanted and cook stir-fried them and added meat if you wanted. Thai line, you choose from six or seven meals on display and the cook makes it after you order. Service was good, though we visited during an slow time.

This jack-of-all-trades food court is a favorite for quick bites and casual group dining.. In Short
Located on the mezzanine of Water Tower Place, this upscale food complex has 13 different food stations for on-the-go lunchtime diners and visitors taking a shopping break. The atmosphere, all ivy-covered trellises and Christmas lights, is both outdoorsy and comforting. Light selections include fajitas, stir-fry, pasta salads, grilled veggies and wraps. Heartier options include ribs, baked chicken and mashed potatoes.

If you want a good deal.... Don't visit foodlife's market. The food prices are atrocious! $6.95/lb for salad is just too much!! The Foodlife food court is a little more reasonable but still a little on the expensive side and the service is enough to ruin your meal completely.

Rude Service=zero patronage. The service you get at Foodlife is rude, RUDE, RUDE!!!!

The first time I walked up to one of the food kiosk--not knowing the process of taking a ticket(card) and etc.--I was rudely chastised publicly by the server and she had the gall to egg on other customers in line to ridicule me as well. I'm sorry for some server to chastise me in a place where I'll be spending my money was totally, TOTALLY uncalled for.

In fact the lunch time servers are downright snippy! I called the management who was patronizingly "apologetic" in an off-handed way. But I have never EVER gone back and informed all my associates and organizations I belong of how this over-hyped food court treats its customers and NOT patronize this establishment if you are spending all this money only to be treated rudely!!

Foodlife is Pretty Good. Foodlife is a great choice for large groups seeking a quick and easy but very good meal. The menu items constist of many healthy salads as well as greasy fair. But all is good. Try the cobb salad with generous amounts of avacado. It's sure to please.

Fast, Great Variety. Magnificent. I think that Food Life is a great new trend in mall / food court eating. Food for every taste bud. I particular like the cajun and the barbecue place. To keep it good and cheap for lunch, I get a cup of Gumbo at the cajun place for $2.95, and a side of mac and cheese at the BBQ place for $2. That's a decent sized lunch for $4.95. I stick with the free water for a beverage. The soup place looks really good too, but I haven't checked it out yet.

They give you a plastic magentic card when you enter. When you make a selection at one of the 13 or so food stations, they swipe your card to "charge" the price of the item to your card. When you are ready to leave, you give your card to the cashier person and pay your balance.

Food Life is awesome. Food life is great!! When I was on vacation in Chicago last summer, i first saw Foodlife when i was on the mezzanine level of Water Tower Place with my aunt. It looked like a cool place so i went in and checked it out. and it was well worth checking out! There was such a vast selection of various food items from all around the world to choose from. I got lots of different food, among the best things I had there was the French sparkling lemonade By Lorina from the Foodlife makket; tropical gelato in 2 different flavors, and a crepe with berries. It was fabulous. It become one the most memorable dinning hightlights of my trip. When i go back to Chicago thats going to be my first stop for food. Food Life raises the bar in terms of dinning atmosphere and food selection, Its the best!
