Pasta dishes are as good as you find @ white table cloth Gourmet spots. Yes, Italian Beef and chicago style poish and hot dogs are first rate

Yes, this place is clean!!!! An accomplishment based on how busy this rest is on an given day

As an Italian, raised on Mac, pasta dishes are as good as you will find anywhere, even Taylor street Chicago, North End in Boston, The Hill in St. Louis, and Mull stree area in NY.

Hard to believe a fast food joint can serve up mac and sauce that competes with those fancy high priced joints. Goes to show you, never judge by name location past reputation

A comfortable, family-friendly setting for Chicago-style hot dogs.. In Short
Dick Portillo opened his first restaurant from a trailer with no running water in 1963 in Villa Park, Ill. Today, each location has a unique theme that reflects the founder's love of history and Chicago. Menu favorites include Chicago-style hot dogs (topped with mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, pickle and sport peppers), Polish sausages, Italian beef sandwiches, salads, burgers and more. Sides include onion rings, fries, soup and for dessert there's chocolate cake, lemon cake or strawberry shortcake.

service and food quality were better in the past. I have been going to Portillos for many years. The last several years I have come across wrong food orders, items missing, soupy chile. I have contacted the company's web site twice after some of these occurances and e-mailed my concerns. I never received a relpy. When a customer has a concern, and in this case, a customer that has been loyal for years, I think a reply is in order. I believe the company is growing so fast that quality is starting to slide.
