Understand the environment. I get the comments about the owner being a bit of a tough guy. I have been going to the tap for years now. One thing you have to understand is the regulars here are often close friends with the owner Joe. He is a great guy very nice. While this place is not for everyone there is no hostility from the owner. As far as the wait staff we have never had a problem but it's easy to get good service when you've been going to a place since it opened. All in all just know youre not going into a fancy restaurant it's a bar. The food is great though I recommend their brat burger

Great burgers, too bad about the Cubs Bar deisgnation. I've been here for burgers after golf probably 5 times over the past 10 years. Recently we had a youth baseball game out that way and decided to stop after the game. There were probably 10 kids and 8 adults. All ordered burgers and we had pitchers of root beer and real beer. The large man who cooked and set up our tables was extremely nice and had a good time talking and kidding with us. Even though the handwritten sign says, "no children," they were very happy to accommodate our large party. We didn't bother other patrons and they didn't bother us.

Waiting for this excellent burger gives you a chance to have a cold beer or two and is well worth the wait. If you want charming service and fast food, go to Ed Debevics. This is a must stop when you are out southwest near Sugar Grove, Yorkville, area!

Excellent burger, can't beat the price. If you want to be pampered this is not the place for you. The staff is busy and does not spend a lot of time with customer service, but the burger is excellent, the beer is good and best of all the price is right. If you are looking for different food options, go elswhere. So my advice if you decide to go; order your burger as soon as you can, and have a few beers while you wait.

Skip This Joke. Good burger, but I was appalled at the behavior that I saw a month or so ago by a few members of staff. Went in here with a few buddies after work and sat at the bar. Saw the owner grab some elderly woman and shake her by the arm. I'm sorry, the woman may have been a bit worked up but you never lay your hands on someone. And come on, a huge man grabbing a woman 1/2 his size. I've lost all respect for this place and that is too bad because we've been going here for about 3 years. I can't stomach that kind of treatment. We walked out as soon as we finished our drinks. There are much more friendly establishments in the area. Next time, pick on someone your own size!! And ignore the other "Fake" reviews that pop up on here, its just people that work there trying to do damage control from this evening in question. As you can see there haven't been many reviews posted about this place. The people involved know what they did and knew they would have to post fake reviews to cover up their inexcusable behavior.

No Small Town Hospitality Here. Burgers are good, but bad service!! Please make sure you don't complain if your order comes up wrong. Agree with anything they say and eat what they give you. Please, trust me!!!! As long as you sit and eat and not talk to the staff you will be okay. There are other places in this area that remembers the slogan, "The Customer Is Always Right". Instead they are argumentative and aggressive. Please for safety reasons, eat your burger even if they bring you out a hot dog. Replace the cracked out waitress who works Saturday evenings. I mean come on already!!! Its not the customers fault if she is hung over and unpleasant.

HORRIBLE WAITRESS, TOO BAD!!! GOOD BURGER. HORRIBLE WAITRESS ON STAFF!!! Asked for a Miller Lite and was brought the wrong beer. Told the waitress and she insisted I ordered the beer wrong. I will give props to the bartender Dave though. He always has a smile!! The burgers aren't worth it here if they can't treat the customer with respect. Go elsewhere!!!! Plus, my friend went there a few weeks ago and saw someone drop a burger on the floor and throw it back on the grill!! Yuck!!!!! Thought they were sly and no one saw.

great. The BRISTOL TAP is very well maintained, CLEAN.

All the employees actually seem to enjoy their jobs and it is shown in the prompt friendly service. Don't expect to place your order for a cheese burger and get it within 15 to 20 minutes, it just won't happen. The burgers are cooked slow. I would personally recommend a cheese burger with everything. This includes fresh lettuce, a large slice of tomato and large slice of raw onion. Very few options are available but the burger is very tasty without any additional, ' fixens'.

Tap this. It's big, juicy, and a meal by itself. Don't be in a hurry, this is not fast food. The flavor is basic best hamburger
