This is a super antique shop. My husband loves this place and has found many treasures there. The owners are awesome- very knowledgeable, hardworking, and friendly. You are in for a special treat when you visit this shop.

very rude know it alls. This women were strange. The curly haired blonde was stuffing her face the whole time and wouldnt stop eating to talk. I was asking them about a honda passport they have out front. For 1495. Those bikes didnt cost that much new. I offered them a price and they wanted to know why. Im sorry if a broken down scooter isnt worh 1500. Aparently they are both experts in scooters. And it was going well with the lady who talks with food in her mouth. I told them how online there selling for 1200 in imaculate condition. The other one yelled at me well go buy it. Horrible overpriced bullys. Dont shop there . They also dont deserve the star i had to give them .

The Best and most unique classic Antique shop in town. All I can say is every time I visit Chicago, Rosebud's is the first place I go to. Always find goodies to buy. I have always worked with Kim and I can say she is a super nice lady. I have meet her sister a couple time. I never had any problems and they have never been rude to me. All people are different in this world and thank goodness for that or it would be a boring place to live. She has always worked with me and I have been very happy with everything. Rosebuds is #1!!

I thought this was an antique shop. I drive past Rosebud's antiques almost daily, but have never stopped in. I found myself with some extra time one afternoon and decided to stop in. I love antiques- and have filled my bedroom and office with several outstanding and unique items- but there is always room for more!!!! I entered the shop and looked around. I first thought I was the only person in the building. When I did see a staff person, I inquired about seeing an item. She rudely replied that they do not carry the item I was looking for; yet behind me was a whole show case of the exact items I was looking for!!!!!! Before I could say anything else, she turned her back to me, and walked out the front door!!! Leaving me alone in the shop. I have never met someone as RUDE as her. I will take my business elsewhere.

Rude, Crude and thouroghly disgusting. I was shopping with friends one afternoon and happened upon this store. We walked in and started browsing when I realized this "person" was following very close behind me. I turned around and it was a blonde woman, who I'm assuming was the owner, and she gave me the dirtiest look. I said to one of my girlfriends that I thought it seemed odd she was following us and at that she yelled "ya I'm watching you".

My girlfriends and I were stunned and proceeded to leave the store in awe and as we were leaving she then screamed "that's right get out!!" WHAT???????

This happened years ago and I never gave it any thought until I was searching for antique stores and came upon this site. I read the reviews and it's obvious it wasn't just us. With a pattern like this I definately think these people have some serious issues and I feel sorry for them, they are clearly very unhappy and hate people. I have no idea how or why they are in business dealing with the public because they have no idea how to deal with people in a civilized manner. Again I feel sorry for these women. Oh and the only reason I gave a star for the rating is because it was required to write this review.

This is a Terriffic Store.. READ. First...You people have to Understand the Antiques World...Normally Dealers DO Buy things and Mark them up...Do you expect them to sell the item for exactly what they paid?

Secondly Dont Pop into a store 1/2 Hour before closing and expect to get greeted with Friendly Faces...The stores I go to Normally open around 11 so get there EARLY and You will have time to relive your childhood.

The Girls are Nice,Freindly but if you come in with a Chip on your shoulder they know...They Can also tell time wasters from Customers as they have been doing this for a while. They do have a Hell of a selection and Reasonably Priced,I leave with something Every time.

Rosebud is RUDE. The two ladies who own this shop are the rudest women I ever met.

If all these ladies want to do is keep a personal collection and keep away buyers then what is the purpose here. perhaps they should change the sign to read 'Rosebud Museum'.

I truly do not know how they stay in business.

Stay Away!!

Wow...Just Wow....These folks have issues!. My partner and I stopped by this store yesterday as we were out enjoying the day. I drive past it everyday on my way to work and they seemed to have cool stuff lined up outside.

My partner is a huge antique buyer. He buys things that remind him of his childhood and this place seemed to have lots of stuff from that time period. When we walked in, he was in awe and whispered to me that he was sure he would find something he loved at this place.

It was half hour before the posted closing time. There appeared to be two women who worked there and one female customer. I am female and my partner is male.

We walked in and not five minutes later as we were looking at antique christmas ornaments which I loved and planned to purchase, the lights in the area we were in went off. My partner shouted out "hello, we are back here". One of the women salespeople commented to the other, there are people back there. Partner asked her "what time do you close?", she replied they were open for another 25 minutes.

Partner then asked one of these women to turn the lights on in the area we were in. She looked right at him then looked away. He asked again and she finally turned on the lights. That woman then walked over to where the other salesperson was and commented, "lets see what the big spenders buy".

This offended my partner so he asked her if she was referring to us. She said she was. At this point partner was very angry and informed her that he had plenty of money and although he was interested in some items they had, he would never give them a dime due to their poor attitude toward us. These two women then did what can only be described as losing their mind.

They began to yell obscenities and told us to get out of their store ( we were already at the door on our way out when they said this). They followed us outside and began to insult my partner and called him names.

I have never seen anything like this. I have no idea what set them off as we were respectful and interested in their items. We were clean and nicely dressed and cannot imagine what possessed them to start hurling insults after they turned the lights off on us.

I think these women have issues with men. They seemed to get very aggressive ver y fast and without warning. Clearly, they are not interested in actually selling anything as they chased away someone who could afford to purchase from them and loves the items they sell. I don't know what their problem is but my advice to everybody is enter this place at your own risk especially if you are a man.

The Worst- Rude and Over Priced. How someone like this stays in business is a mystery. Search around the web, there are a lot of bad reviews out there (that I saw after I stopped in). Customers are a terrible inconvenience, she appears to hate people, saying hello or minimally acknowledging your presence is too much for her- forget about asking a question or wanting to look at something. She looks visibly put-out when you walk through her door. She does have some cool things but I wouldn't give a dime to someone who not only made my shopping experience so miserable, but who also shows no appreciation for people trying to do business with her. If you live in the area, you may remember this nasty family from when they owned Paws and Claws. They had a terrible reputation for being rude then and nothing has changed.

On a secondary note, she is way overpriced. Even if you wanted to honor this horrible woman with your money everything is twice what it should be and she will not negotiate.
