Dirty, Rude, Incompetent
by Rick Dale
This place is a disgrace. When walking into the place, its filthy dirty and the staff is rude and inattentive.
First: Rented a gun to shoot. Both front and rear site broken
Next: Went into the dirtiest, oldest and most cramped range I've ever shot in
Then: Returned the gun - stood there for 15 mins as the rude staff didn't get around to the 10 second transaction of taking the loaner back and returning my FOID card - which they hold when you rent a gun.
Finally: They lost my FOID card - they have no idea what happened to it.
I now have to go through the hassle of getting another FOID - just waited on hold for 44 minutes to cancel current FOID, which is in someone else's possession.
This after hanging around this dirty crap hole waiting to see if they could figure out who gave my card away - of course, no one did. It must have magically disappeared.
Finally, they blamed the customer who took my card for not making sure he had the right one and then told me "those who cast stones should not complain." I still cant figure out what that means.
Seriously - stay away from this place. Drive to Mega Sports or JR shooting sports. Get the professional service and clean facility you deserve.
Bad service, rude staff, useless gunsmith
by billdeebs
I only wish they had an option here for 0 stars.
Last year my dying father gave me the first .22 rifle I ever fired as a parting gift. Not knowing the condition, I brought it here for a clean/check. They quoted me $40 and would let me know if there's any problems with the gun. (Prior to dropping it off w/ their "gunsmith" I went through 10 magazines in flawless fashion in their range.)
1 month = no call
2 months = no call
3 months = "The gunsmith is almost done, we'll call ya next week..."
4 months = no call
5 months = "Sorry, we have been so busy selling guns and ammo since obama took over..."
6 months = screw you guys, i'm picking up my rifle.
I arrive, give them the claim ticket, open the box and find my rifle in a jumble of parts, as dirty as the day I dropped it off. Infuriated at this, I ask for a manager who tells me that's how I dropped it off with them, since their guy has NEVER and i quote NEVER been unable to fix a weapon.. He then goes on, and after looking at the dates on my service ticket, tells me I should feel lucky he didn't charge me storage..
Seriously.
I took it to another gunsmith who discovered 3 pieces now missing, and who also cleaned it up, replaced all the pieces and got it firing like new again for $110 in LESS THAN A WEEK.
Stay away from this place unless the zombies attack and they are the only guys left with ammo. Don't worry if you break in there to save yourself from the zombies, based on the quality of their gunsmith, I doubt their weapons work.
To Sum It Up:
bad service
rude management
unresponsive staff
worthless "gunsmith"
STAY AWAY
Good selection of sporting equipment

Been going to the range many years and have found the range guys ok, but the sales staff is cold and distant. Sold many guns here too and have always had to call to find out if it was sold, never called me. If you don't mind a staff that could care less if you were there or not but want a good selection of firearms and good prices its ok.
- Pros: Great selection
- Cons: not to friendly
