Best Button Shop

When this shop was in business it was GREAT!!! Unfortunately due to Chicago needing more high rises it has been torn down, alas found this out during my trip on 2-9-08. Someone should contact the owners and see if they would perhaps reopen, say in Lincoln Park.

oh, I had the exact same experience! (Are we the same person?) Horrible experience at We Keep You in Stitches, wonderful visit to Tender Buttons. I only wish they stayed open later in the evenings. 5:30 is HARD right after work. :(
Going there was almost like going to a museum. Beautiful, whimsical, intricate, and gorgeous buttons on display and for sale - any kind you needed, any kind you wanted, and buttons you didn't know you wanted or needed until you saw them. I loved this store.
- Pros: knowledgable staff, wonderful selection, wonderful "store feel"
- Cons: limited shopping hours, no parking (if you drive)
